Kelley is amazing at explaining things and demonstrating the skills needed to help with training my puppy. I needed as much training as the puppy and easy to learn the skills needed. What do you love most about your job?
The work we do at High Tail marries the highest possible quality of care for dogs with the opportunity to serve the people who love them and help dog and handler grow as a team. Continually growing alongside our clients to help them achieve the relationship they want with their dog is personally and professionally one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Knowing that I help my clients both two and four-legged to find success in their unique situations is gratifying beyond words!
What inspired you to start your own business?
After years of working in the industry, I saw an unserved population of dog owners whose needs were not met in the traditional business model. I knew I wanted to grow independently as a trainer, and resented both the financial burden and logistical limitations of the brick-and-mortar I had been a part of in the past. So I formed a new company, with new programs, new parameters, and an adaptable structure where there were no restrictions on what the science of dog training and my own imagination could offer to my clients. And so High Tail was born!

While we pride ourselves on the quality of service and depth of relationship we build with our in person clients, we are incredibly proud to offer a range of online training options, that bring the knowledge, structure, culture, and enthusiasm that are cornerstones of High Tail Training to an ever expanding list of training programs in the High Tail Training Academy. We could not be more pleased to be able to expand our availability to those with unpredictable schedules, remote living conditions, nomadic lifestyles, or restrictive work schedules, and anyone else who finds online training a better fit for them. High Tail Heroes come in all shapes, sizes, and time zones, and the High Tail Team is committed to a quality experience for every High Tail Hero who sniffs us out! What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have greatly expanded our online services, upheld rigorous sanitation standards for equipment between appointments as an extension of our commitment to wellness for our canine companions, and offer social distancing, temperature checks and other precautions for in-person clients upon request.
