A wonderful place to eat southern comfort food. The locale it is in offers a fresh breather from the high end clean cut "build your own" restaurants that have seem to have sprung up in the area. The people are friendly, and make good suggestions if you are indecisive on what to eat. The chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak were of high quality, and the loaded mashed potatoes were so good, I wished I had ordered two! More...

Great location, food is great,
Chicken fried chicken was delish, they don’t put a lot of crust which makes it even better.
Although it’s delicious.
However the side portions
are ridiculously small. I had to actually give my 5yr grand daughter my side order of Mac n Cheese to fill her up and then she wanted another order. I know I should not compare but for the price I am better off at Pluckers or Chilis down the road.
I definitely will return and will recommend, but will prepare them regarding the side orders.�

Whats not to love? I usually attend the lication on Heights Blvd and was happy to give this one a go. The smoked turkey loaded baked potato was fab. The chicken fried steak lived up to the hype. It was thin and crispy and golden. It tasted fresh and the gravy looked a bit different than what I'm used to back in Louisiana but it was delicious. We had potato salad, fried okra, and the fried potato ball things. All we're really good. The only thing at our whole table that wasn't really great was the brisket. It was pretty dry and needed the BBQ sauce to have flavor. We will definitely be back for that chicken fried steak though :) More...

Always good food, generous portions! Get there early for the turkey breast! I had that with mashed potatoes and the grilled zucchini! The people that work there are great they treat you like family. I went there at noon and it was crowded but everything moved quickly I had my food super fast. The hardest part is deciding what to eat! I went to the front of the line because I already knew what I wanted this time. The chicken-fried steak is another favorite! I took my brother and sister-in-law visiting from out of town and they loved it! They are from Pennsylvania so it was a real treat to have some Texas barbecue! More...
