I recently hired Hickman Video to create a "video movie" with my still photographs. Hickman did a super job with very little time. I was able to manage the job without even meeting Tom in person. I sent the photos by snail mail and then we communicated by phone and email. Seeing the sample videos on the Hickman website was very helpful for choosing a style. Tom was responsive, attentive to detail, asked good questions about what I wanted and was very cognizant of my deadline. My family wanted to have all of our old home videos from the past 35 years converted to digital format. There were dozens of tapes, and I was daunted by the task, to say the least! Tom took all the boxes and in a short time converted the tapes to DVDs, the DVDs to mp4's, and saved all the files to two thumb drives. Sending away your family videos is extremely stressful. Will it get lost or damaged? Hickman Productions takes all that stress out of the process. I have used them for both 8mm reel film transfer and also super 8 tape transfer. As soon as they receive it you get an email letting you know it’s safe and how long it will take to transfer. Once it’s done you get an email with a shipping confirmation so you can track it back to you. The best part is the quality of your film when you receive it. The tapes I had converted were great video and had no points where the audio was not matching the video. The 8mm film was so impressive after sitting in a box for 60+ years they converted it to digital and it looked beautiful. Highly recommend their transfer service! More...
