These guys worked so hard and so professionally moving us out of a 3 story townhome. They laid out runners to protect the floors, padded doorways, disassembled and reassembled furniture and hooked up applicances. ..all on a hot july day. We used Heritage for our most recent move from a rental to storage to new home.  They provided storage for 6 weeks while we were between homes.  The guys arrived on time and were very attentive to our items and the homes.  I chose Heritage for a number of reasons and I'm so glad I did.  While in storage, a couple of our dining chairs were marred and damaged.  Nancy immediately had an upholstery company contact me about cleaning the damaged fabric.  Unfortunately, they weren't able to match the fabric.  Rather than repairing only the one damaged chair, they had all 8 of my dining chairs reupholstered to match.  Additionally, the damage to the wooden back was repaired so well we can't tell which one was the damaged one.  I know from experience that most companies would have only offered 50 cents per pound to settle (and only for the two damaged chairs) or only covered the two damaged chairs.  Nancy did the right thing and kept in constant contact until the chairs were home and repaired to my satisfaction. We recently hired Heritage Moving to move us. Nancy came out to our house and gave us a "No More Than" quote. She was true to her word that it could be less. In our case it was. The ladies who packed us were awesome as were the 3 very polite young men who moved the boxes & furniture. They didn't leave until they were sure that we didn't need any more help. I was really impressed with Nancy's work ethic and that she came to our house for a free estimate as advertised. I had planned to speak with 4 movers before I made my decision. Great moving experience moving locally in San Antonio from a rental house into a new home. I highly recommend Larry and Nancy(the owners) and their staff. This is a small family run business with a most personal touch. Extremely good and fair pricing. Larry came soon after my initial inquiry to do an in home estimate and had a written estimate by the end of the day with a confirmation of my scheduled move date. They guarantee that the move will not be higher than the estimate and there are absolutely no hidden costs. Their trucks and equipment are clean and well maintained and their staff were all very personable and respectful. The move went efficiently and they finished up in less time than estimated so I owed less than the estimate. On the Monday following the move I got a follow up call from Larry to make sure I was satisfied and asking about any feedback. He also informed me that he was sending me a check for money back, as there had been a slight miscalculation on the hours, this despite the fact that the move had come in under the original estimate. These guys are terrific. We had a complicated move from two locations to four different locations and were concerned that we would find someone organized to do the job for us. Larry and his team did an outstanding job. We moved out of a big Alamo Height apartment with the first load going to Houston, second load to Seguin. Next day they picked up a bunch of stuff from my office in Schertz (including a 900# granite conference table on the second floor). We added stuff from the apartment and Heritage delivered everything to two different homes on South Padre Island. They then picked up a last load on South Padre Island and took it back to Seguin. ALL pieces delivered correctly with one minor broken couch leg (which was promptly fixed and re-delivered in two days).Excellent job of packing for the move. Careful, deliberate, and showed care all the way. The estimate was very fair. After the move was over, we even received a refund check on a minor over-estimate of charges.Would HIGHLY recommend. I have only great things to say about Heritage Moving Company. This company is a terrific company to work with and we were thrilled that we chose to hire them. At the start Larry came to do our estimate. He is very professional and it was clear to me that we would be working with a company  that we could feel confident that our belongings would be safe and unharmed, further, we were very swayed by the fact that they are the only company we know of that offers full replacement value dollar for dollar insurance if an item is damaged or broken. This was our 8th move in 12 years so we have a lot of experience. Nancy was a dream to work with for the remainder of our scheduling process as we were trying to close on our house sale and to purchase a new home. Our dates kept changing due to our buyers buyer falling through. Our dates must have changed four or five times. Nancy was very flexible and pleasant about changing our dates and trying to do everything she could to work with us so that we could move when needed which is exactly what finally happened. It even ended up that the wonderful packers had to come and do almost a full day of packing on Christmas Eve. They did so happily. As to the packers, Liza and the other girls were fabulous. They were very thorough, careful and kept good track by labeling boxes well with contents also. They were terrific to work with; great attitudes, very helpful and flexible. They were wonderful with my unpack as well.As to the movers, Jeremy and the other men did a terrific job in loading the truck and unloading at the new house. They all had great attitudes and worked very hard. They were very careful with the items and were very organized in how they did their work. We were impressed at how quickly they were able to accomplish the entire day. We had three trucks full of items and they did all of this, loading and unloading in roughly 9 hours. That included setting up beds, TVs, computers, etc, and the disconnects on the front end of those things(sleep number beds). This company deserves great praise. We will recommend them to anyone and shouldwe move again, would absolutely hire them without hesitation. More...
