Hats off to Heirloom Catering for making my surprise 40th birthday an amazing and unforgettable event. Vicky and her staff helped make my husband's vision for the event a reality, transforming our back yard into what seemed like a farm to table restaurant. The al fresco dining set up was exquisite and the family-style menu was seasonal, fresh, and delicious, anchored by the braised short rib main about which all the guests raved. Heirloom catered our wedding last weekend. In addition to delicious and plentiful food, the menu was comletely custom to our tastes and dreams! We shirked traditional steak and salmon choices and instead had a gorgeous mediterranean family style dinner party. It was perfect! The food and styling was everything we wanted and even more than we could have imagined! We loved the food we got to try, and we have heard only rave reviews from all of our friends and family! Heirloom catered my wedding in September of 2018 in Washington, DC and did a FABULOUS job. My favorite thing about Heirloom is that in addition to being a caterer, they really are stylists too and help your wedding vision come to life. Heirloom took the time to understand the reception style I was trying to achieve and made sure that every little food and décor detail (the color of the carrots served at dinner, the way the napkins were folded, etc.) aligned with the overall look & feel. Many guests and the wedding planner (!) raved about the reception and commented on how beautiful it was. Also, the food was delicious!Vicky and Lindsay were both very hands on throughout the whole process and patient in answering the many questions I had along the way. At one point I was even asking them about the color of my flowers and they happily discussed that with me. They really have wedding/event planning down to a science and know exactly what they're doing. I'll definitely use Heirloom for future events and would highly recommend them to anyone. More...

Let me start out by saying that outside of picking food, my husband and I really wanted no part in wedding planning after we got engaged. The whole process seemed overwhelming at best, and we had no idea where to start. At the same time, we wanted our wedding reception to reflect us as a couple, and for all of our friends and family to have a great time. I had known Vicky since middle school and was a frequent at her family's restaurant in Springfield, so I was thrilled to find out that she has started her own catering and event styling company. From the moment we hired Vicky and her team, they just got it. We sent a few Pinterest pictures and discussed our love for Southern food, and Vicky really took it from there. She knew exactly what we were envisioning with little to no direction. Literally everything that the Heirloom team put together, starting with the personal tasting for my husband and parents, to the flower arrangements, tablescapes and small details was nothing short of amazing. The entire staff was completely professional and never missed a beat. I should also mention that there was a pretty bad ice storm the morning of our wedding, which apparently flipped one of the rental trucks and left other vendors stranded, only hours before our event. Vicky sprung into action and not only made sure that everything was on time and in perfect condition, I didn't even HEAR about the whole ordeal until after the night was over. I truly don't think we would have even had a wedding had we hired any other company. Seriously, if you want the BEST FOOD (we STILL have people raving about it to us) and the most beautiful event you've ever hosted-look no further!! Heirloom DC is worth their weight in gold!! More...

heirloom dc is hands down the best food catering in the area. our wedding was beyond perfect thanks to vicky and her team. our guests were raving all night about the food, styling, tables, etc that heirloom dc did for us. i highly recommend them if you want delicious, beautifully presented and unique bites. vicky made sure my husband and i were taken care of all night, every time i turned around she had drinks and food for us. my parents and in-laws also loved the great care she took of them, too. it was such a beautiful event that they worked so hard to plan and execute. working with her team was seamless and they nailed exactly what we wanted. thank you so much vicky + team we are so appreciative! if you have an upcoming wedding or event, seriously don’t even look any further- heirloom dc is the best that it gets! can’t wait to plan the next party! We had a nontraditional wedding in that we hosted a cocktail-style party at my parents' house after a small courthouse ceremony. Heirloom immediately understood not only the vibe we were going for but was able to work with the small space and created a menu that reflected both our likes! Everyone I worked with was amazing from Vicky handling the layout and event design to the on-site coordinators setting up the food stations and all of the waiters passing the food. Our experience with Heirloom could not have been better. Lindsay and Vicky were so accommodating throughout the entire process, and quickly designed an entire menu based off our personal tastes and the theme we were looking to develop. Not only was the food absolutely AMAZING, the process was easy and transparent. While planning a wedding is a complicated process, Lindsay and Vicky helped us avoid the stress that generally surrounds the catering decisions. Their presentation and service of each food item was impeccable, and I would highly recommend them for anyone getting married or hosting an event in the DC-metro area. All of our guests raved about the quality and look of everything they served. It is hard to imagine not having Heirloom DC as part of our wedding. Without them, Lauren and I feel our wedding would not have been a fraction of the successful and joyous occasion it had been. From the beginning, Vicky and her team were far above and beyond other (catering) vendor we had been in contact with. Communicative and helpful along the way. We knew what to expect next and they helped us stay the course while guiding us along the way to make sound decisions that were both meaningful to us and our families, as well as made sense overall. And importantly for Lauren & I, they made sure all our grandiose plans and details made sense and could work logistically. They even helped refine and evolve those plans. We knew the food and presentation would be unparalleled. They are a world above others which is the main reason we were drawn to them. We were even more delighted when we felt and saw that they are true experts on the service component and all the details in between. We never thought a wedding would be quite the undertaking it was! Wow. Heirloom is absolutely fantastic, and we cannot imagine better people to work with to create the perfect wedding experience! Vicky & Lindsay are incredibly knowledgable, professional, and creative. We put multiple aspects of our wedding reception in their hands (catering, rentals, event styling), and they pulled everything off in the most magical way. Many of our guests continue raving about the food; dozens of people have told us that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. The entire Heirloom team is amazingly talented and well-trained, and I cannot imagine a better catering and event styling experience.
