This salon was recommended to me by a friend who was familiar with their services. My esthetician was Sara and she performed a dermablading facial. Her skills and technique are top notch. For what it's worth, as a former esthetician myself, I know what to look for during treatment, and Sara did a great job. I would recommend her to anyone looking to treat themselves to a facial. I cannot say enough about Heidi Lane Esthetics. I ordered a grab bag from them last week, and all the items in this bag were so perfect. I was asked a few questions to put the bag together, and I am obsessed with all the products it came with. I am already seeing such a big difference in my skin! I definitely recommend Heidi Lane Esthetics! More...

What made me try Heidi Lane? I followed my aesthetician here after she made a recent business change. This boutique spa business is in a small, chic, converted cottage near downtown Boise. There is plenty of street parking nearby and in a little lot behind the place. Google maps led me to residential houses on my first visit. No biggie. I got to see a bit more of this new-to-me neighborhood. The small but comfy treatment rooms are well-stocked, neat, and clean. There is nothing quite like that extremely pleasant, drift-to-sleep, forget-about-the-job/life-stress feeling of having your most familiar 'mug' dermabladed by a grand maestra of the trade, after having been first submitted to the soothing preliminary steps. When I've had small blemishes extracted, I've felt a little pinch. When tweezers have been involved here, the technique is almost without feeling! When I do this at home, I ~always feel a little ouchie. Exfoliation, steaming, moisturization, toner. Face to neck to décolleté area. What else did I receive? Hand, arm, lower leg, foot scrub and light massage. Hot towels to further ease me into glowing goddess-hood-feelings after a demanding day. I even had a warm-stone treatment, an eye-area cupping, and cool orbs near the eyes, ALL of which I highly recommend, mostly if your facial skin is taut and healthy, so as not to irritate it. I must have good karma to have found such a superb aesthetician and a nice new biz!!I'm sure that if you want those higher-end derma-treatments that you read about in women's fashion mags and online, you could find many of them here. I have never gotten those done, and I'm not even halfway well-read on them, so I can't speak to those. The product lines here include organic, non-chemical, holistic-health thumbs up, and dare I say, probably higher ratings on EWG and other such watchdogs' websites. The scents will leave you floating and reduce bloating. Too many people buy into the mentality that it's overwhelmingly the skincare products you use that will make it look radiant, young, firm, beautiful. No, no, no! In my observation of others, my readings, and my own experience, here is my breakdown for most cases: 15-20% non-invasive techniques like good moisturizers and facials (and perhaps expertly-administered invasive/medical professional treatments/cosmetic surgeries), 50-55% food, supplement, vitamin and beverage intake, 10-15% sleep quality/quantity, 15% lifestyle (exercise, love, stress reduction, etc), 5-10% genetics. There's no guilt in wanting to look and feel your best, so do what you can for that first 15-20% and make an appointment for your customized facial here. This is not just for women! More...
