As someone who owned a grooming salon... in one of my many previous lives... I can say without a doubt Heavenly Hound knows what they are doing and they care a great deal about the fur babies in their care. I would and have recommended them many times. As for the negative review I just read because after 2 hours they hadn't started your dogs groom yet.... really... really... most shops have you drop off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon and just because you only saw 4 dogs when you dropped off it doesn't mean they didn't get 10 more right after you left. That shop is usually very loud and The front area couldn't hold more than a couple customers... and if they didn't say something about your dogs ears and you didn't already know there was a problem you'd be mad about that too....When you slam a small business on social media it hurts that business in more ways than one... I know the owner has put her blood sweat and tears into that business for years and she cares about the people working there... and the dogs and the dog parents.... and because Of your impatience you could hurt all of them. Yelp is a place to complain so I'm gonna complain... I'm gonna complain  about the complainers that don't understand the damage they do when they complain over stupid things. Now I'll be surprised if Yelp doesn't "hide" this review and say it isn't "relevant " but on the off chance they don't hide it... thank you for letting me complain about complainers! I drive about 40 min to take my dog here. They are amazing with doodles (I have a 90 pound golden doodle) and he always has a good disposition when I pick him up! The ladies here are so friendly (always so busy because they're that good) and skilled! I have had some really bad grooming experiences because my dog has separation anxiety but I've never had any issues here because they know how to handle him. Such an amazing place! More...

So my two year old Golden Retriever had never been groomed before, so it was definitely well over due. I researched online for a groomer and found Heavenly Hound. All the reviews were great, so I decided we would try it. (Might I add that my dog is extremely hyper so I've always been nervous to take him to get groomed for the sake of the groomers.) I take him at 10am. On the phone, I had been quoted 3-4 hours. Probably closer to 4 with the holidays coming up. I walked in and the ladies there were SO sweet to him. They gave him treats, were loving on him, and even though he was nervous, I felt better knowing they would be sweet to him. I realize that it was early in the morning, however it didn't look all that busy, maybe 4 dogs, so I was thinking, "Great. It probably won't take as long as we thought!" My fiancé was going to pick him up, while I was at work. He calls up there around 12:30pm just to check how far along the grooming was and to see approximately how much longer is would be. They said maybe 2 more hours, and didn't even act like they knew what dog we were asking about. That's fine. My fiancé decided he would just go up there to see how far along he was. Originally I wouldn't let him do that because I understand a working business may take longer than originally quoted, however I'm glad he did. They had not even began to groom my dog. They said to my fiancé, "I guess we can get him next." You guess He's been here since 10. What has he been doing this whole time? Just chilling in the back waiting his turn? They encouraged my fiancé to leave due to our dog getting too excited, and so he complied. Next thing you know, it took 30 maybe 45 minutes to groom our dog. When my fiancé went to pick him up, he paid and on his way out, one of the employees tells him "Maybe you should take better care of his ears. Looks like he's got a bad infection." Listen, I TOTALLY get that you're probably frustrated with my fiancé for showing up before he was called, him being frustrated with you guys, but that still doesn't give you a right to announce to the whole salon that my dog has an ear infection. We have been fighting his ear infections with medications for months now. He's a Golden Retriever.... they're prone to them. But please don't make it seem like we need to "take better care of his ears." We do our best to make sure our boy is happy and healthy, but we will not be doing so with this groomer any further.
