Healing Light Family Acupuncture

Mukunda is my favorite healer, reiki teacher, and guide. His energy is so grounded and bright! He immediately makes you feel at home and part of his family. He's professional, yet so friendly, generous, and funny. Based off a strong recommendation, I decided to try acupuncture with Mukunda. Since I've been struggling with a few chronic illnesses and autoimmune diseases for more than a decade, I've been looking for anything that helps. The sessions with Mukunda have given me the most substantial relief I have found so far and I enjoy a period with a calm nervous system and a decrease in anxiety after each session. While the acupuncture is already so helpful, I am grateful to receive a lot of spiritual guidance from Mukunda. When I first met him, I was feeling confused and overwhelmed spiritually, but through several treatment sessions, he has provided me so much guidance and support by steering me back towards my inner wisdom. In looking back over this period, he has provided me an immeasurable amount of knowledge and reassurance through a difficult period of growth. Lastly, his Reiki Level 1 class was unbelievable. I had already received my level 3 Reiki certification earlier in the year, but I KNEW I had to learn from him. And that was accurate, I learned so much, not to mention the class was super fun and the in person attunement really helped me. Can't wait for Level 2! The combination of all of these things have completely transformed my life. I can now practice Reiki on others without burning out from my health problems and energy overload and I feel like I can now have fun with what I am experiencing, instead of lost and anxious over it. Mukunda is a master of acupuncture! He's kind, knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. I started my acupuncture journey with him over a year ago. My husband has also visited his practice a couple times and agrees. After every session with Mukunda, I felt relaxed, rejuvenated and comfortable. The insight I gained from his practice and guidance is priceless. I'm happy to share that after years of trying to conceive and hold a pregnancy I am now 20 weeks pregnant. Please do yourself a favor and try Healing Light Acupuncture! This review should've been done months and months and months ago but new parent life has consumed our household! I recommend accuptuncure to everyone I know because it changed my life. Little backstory: My husband and I struggled with infertility for 3 years before trying to pair treatment with acupuncture and it worked!! I absolutely LOVE the Healing Light team. So much so that I would drive an hour out once or twice a week for about a year just to go to this practice! They have such care and dedication to the craft and made sure my journey to motherhood was a smooth one. I was never able to bring a baby to term before and pregnancy is usually very difficult for me but their treatment greatly helped me with my terrible fatigue and body aches throughout my pregnancy. A couple days after I did their inducing labor treatment I gave birth to my beautiful rainbow baby girl at 8 lbs 7 oz. I was looking to try acupuncture after my OB suggested I try it to naturally induce labor. This was my second pregnancy and I was trying to VBAC. I found Healing Light Family Acupuncture after searching yelp and google for providers. I loved that they specialize in fertility treatments, pregnancy, and postpartum. Mukunda and Tina are so caring and their office is so relaxing and inviting. Acupuncture definitely does work to naturally induce labor and I was able to go into labor on my own. Even though I ended up needing a second c-section (for other medical reasons) I'm so glad I came to Healing Light Family Acupuncture. I was able to go into labor on my own and help minimize some pregnancy discomfort like my swollen feet through my sessions. I had the privilege of receiving acupuncture treatments from Tina and MuKunda after I was in a car accident; and I must say they are truly caring, genuine, kind, and compassionate. At my 20 week anatomy scan we found that I have placenta previa so my homebirth midwife suggested I try acupuncture and recommended Tina at Healing Light Acupuncture. She said it would work wonders and I had my first appt last Saturday. I first called Tina for an appt and she spent 30 minutes of her Saturday validating my concerns and making me feel so hopeful that the previa could eventually move with treatment and herbs. Last week MuKunda spent time with me prior to my appt addressing my concerns and reasons for coming in and my experience was great and very relaxing. I left with some Chinese medicine herbs that could also help the placenta move away from my cervix so that I can have the vaginal delivery I had anticipated. As I started my IVF journey earlier this year, I decided to go for acupuncture in hopes it will help me yield better results. My RE referred me to Healing Light Family Acupuncture. I was able to inquire with Tina and she was so helpful and encouraging. I have sessions with Mukunda. He is also very friendly, gentle and compassionate. He helped me calm my nerves and I believe the acupuncture benefitted me so much that's why I got good results on my first round (despite starting with acupuncture a few weeks before my Egg retrieval). I'm not someone who typically writes reviews, but I feel the world needs to know about Mukunda. Maybe this review will help. Let me start off by saying that I honestly believe Mukunda helped save my life. A few years ago, someone whom I loved deeply and trusted completely, did something that left me feeling unbelievably hurt, angry, and betrayed. It was the most shocked that I've ever been in my life. I literally felt as though my heart had been stabbed. They say that time heals all wounds, but this was a wound that just wouldn't go away. Even after seeing an amazing therapist every other week for over a year and a half afterwards... I still couldn't get that wound to heal. It was awful. Not even a combination of Paxil and Klonopin could make a dent in the emotional and physical pain that I was feeling. I'd experienced heartache and heartbreak before, but this was different for some reason. It just wouldn't go away. It was all that I could think about. It got so bad that I was seriously contemplating suicide. That's when a very wise friend of mine recommend Mukunda. I'd tried Reiki healing before with other practitioners, but I never felt any different afterwards. That changed after my first session with Mukunda. The session itself was extremely relaxing, but I didn't really feel anything other than deeply relaxed. However, when I sat up afterwards... I felt as though the hole in my heart had been cleaned, stitched, and patched. I almost couldn't believe it. It was/is the most supernatural thing that I've experienced in my life. The deep feelings of hurt, betrayal, and sadness that I'd felt for almost two years just kinda dissolved away within a matter of minutes. Left in there place were feelings of love, peace, and calmness. I was so moved by the experience that I cried tears of joy as I drove home afterwards. I was fearful the effects wouldn't last, but I'm EXTREMELY happy and grateful to let you know that they have. It's been about a year now. I'm not sure what else to say. It's the most miraculous thing I've ever experienced. Hardly a day goes by that I don't think about it. On a side note, I feel as though I've spent much of my life looking for undeniable proof that a kind, loving, and merciful higher-power exists. And on that day, I found it with Mukunda's help. I don't know if your experience will be as profound as mine, but I truly hope that it will be. Even if it's not, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Yeah, I can't recommend Mukunda highly enough. He's one of, if not the most, gifted healers that I've ever come across. He's also a really cool and kind-hearted human being. I've had a few more Reiki sessions with him for less severe anxiety and depression related to other things. My coworker suggested that acupuncture works magic with IVF so I started looking for a good acupuncture clinic. I've been to several acupuncturists but nothing compares to the attention to detail of Tina and Mukunda. Both of them are very nice and dedicated to helping aspiring parents. They listen and provide a lot of encouragement. I found them a little over a week before my FET date and Tina was so kind to squeeze me in on their busy schedules to make sure that I can get appointments the day before and the day of my transfer. It's also very convenient that they have sessions after 6 pm since i live and work far from their office. Fast forward to today, I'm 6 weeks pregnant and my HCG levels are better than expected. I still see them at least once a week because I truly believe that they've helped me get to this point. I'm so glad to have met this couple and Tina at the office. I was guided here, too I have an esoteric acupuncture appointment, which turned out to be the very thing that I needed when arriving at the location for my appointment I was brought into a room which had a very serene and peaceful environment when speaking with my caregiver, Mukunda , he heard me out, and I felt safe enough to freely speak my truth in a judgment, free space. When I was suffering from shoulder pain, my wonderful daughter-in-law bought me a gift certificate for Mother's Day. She had seen Mukunda when she was pregnant and couldn't have been happier with the results. I started seeing Tina right away. At my first visit she was so warm and friendly as we talked about our families and all the things I had been doing to help my shoulder, since the pain had first started five months before. I had never had acupuncture, but I could tell I was in good hands, and I was completely calm and relaxed. After just the first visit with Tina, I couldn't believe how much better I felt. I hadn't been able to raise and extend my right arm for weeks, so I was thrilled to have that range of motion back within just a few days. This week I had my third visit. I saw Mukunda for IVF fertility acupuncture treatments. My first egg retrieval resulted in no viable embryos so I wanted to add acupuncture to help my egg quality in hopes for a better IVF cycle. Starting from the consultation until our last visit before labor Mukunda has been attentive and sincere making us feel comfortable every step of the way. I didn't feel pressured and found myself wanting to see him more often. There was as much healing emotionally as there was physically. For anyone going through IVF I definitely recommend doing acupuncture to help assist with the procedure. I ended up with one PGT normal embryo and successful embryo transfer and welcomed my healthy baby boy 39 weeks later. I have had a great experience with acupuncture at Healing Light so far. I have struggled to get pregnant, and prior to trying IVF I wanted to see if a more holistic/natural approach would aid in the process. While I have not yet gotten pregnant (been seeing them for a few months now - and I know this isn't going to just 'magically' work) I would still recommend this practice. Mukunda and Sue take the time to get to know you, are extremely calming and contribute overall to the experience. Before each session starts, they determine the time of your cycle and evaluate how you are doing to create a personalized approach. I feel very comfortable telling them what I need (e.g. maybe one of the needles is irritating, or the bed is too warm or room too cold) - and that is incredibly important if you are making efforts to be relaxed and in a good state of mind. The location is not close for me - it's at least a 30 min drive there and back home, plus at least an hour there, so a 2-hour commitment each week - but I continue to come here because of the team, atmosphere and experience. In 2022 a family member of mine suddenly experienced an unexpected, life-threatening health condition.After coming across Tina's social media post about her personal health journey-how she shared her experiences and how she was able to navigate through them, I immediately felt drawn to reaching out to her. I, personally, am a firm believer in eastern and western medicine and taking a holistic approach to self healing when the goal is to understand and heal the root cause of illness. I have had the pleasure of being treated by both Tina & Mukunda for years. I have suffered from headaches, neck and back pain, stress/work-related tension, digestive issues, and insomnia. I also suffered from pain in my hands and arms.My sessions with Tina & Mukunda have been so healing and effective. I have had type 1 diabetes for 41 years and I started experiencing in the past 10 years peripheral neuropathy in my feet, legs and hand which was very scary because there is no cure for it. Symptoms of numbness, tingling in your feet, legs and hands as well as burning and sensations of a sharp pieces of glass cutting into the sole of my foot. By taking Gabapentin (Neurontin) the most of the pain went away but there were side effects. I was able to get rid of this neuropathy pain starting five years ago when I started seeing acupuncturist Dr. Mukunda Singh weekly. Mukunda has been a miracle worker for me. Whenever I stop going to him such as for travel the painful symptoms slowly started coming back. That is why I know Mukunda treatment is the reason that these painful symptoms have gone away. I've been coming to Healing light Acupuncture for the last 4 years. Makunda has been able to help me reduce my anger and daily stress. Starting out I need a weekly treatment of acupuncture and Reiki, to help calm my internal struggle. Each visit brought me closer to a more peaceful, better sense of myself.
