Colby seems to tap into a much larger realm than traditional counseling.In my first session he dynamically dramatized my situation in such a way that I truly experienced the picture and feel he was depicting and I started taking in a drastic new perspective on my life. In my second session I was apparently racing in my thoughts, not much in my body, and his cueing, guidance in breathing, and more, helped me focus and ground myself. Several years,ago I had a session with Colby. I was deeply impressed by his intuitive understanding of my situation. Simply; I wished to continue with the care of my ex's mom who was in her nineties at the time. As the breakup was so harsh I was struggling with how to continually return to that house. We moved through my fears and into a place built on compassion. I was involved with her care until her passing this autumn and learned a great deal from the experience. I will always appreciate Colby's understanding and advice. There is also a quality of moving, shifting ones energy. Many of us learn ways to achieve that through meditation etc. Many of us are also caught up in a kind of circular thinking that does not allow us to see clear. I have been working with Colby for several years. I can't say enough about what guidance and positive change and awareness he has brought into my life. I have spent time with "normal" counselors, as well as healers, and he has a way of bringing the two together that has been so beneficial for my body, mind, and spirit. Colby is a healer with a traditional education in counseling/psychology. His knowledge and support is on a whole different plane. I will also add that what Colby does, he does with LOVE. Over the years, I have spent time with a few different counselor/therapist/healers for issues I was having at that particular point in my life. It has been several years since I have had any therapy-type sessions with anyone and I had been feeling like it was time to do a "deep dive" into an area of my life that I had been ignoring for a long time.
