A really lovely low key and unpretentious place. Very welcoming a sparse, clean and comfortable interior. The menu has great options from salads to soups and pizza. The ability to customize food and sides was a nice option too. A full bar with a good wine list. The service was really terrific -- knowledgeable and friendly! And the cupcakes--unique flavors and super tasty! More...

Waited two hours for takeout after being promised 45 mins. Unacceptable. No apology, diaccount, etc. No food is worth thar kind of nonsense. Also overpriced.Update: apparently leaving a bad review also gets these jokers to leave harrassing messages at home. Again, unacceptable. Stay away. More...

We had a delicious lunch at Hazel's today. The pesto pizza is amazing! 😍 The hubs had pepperoni and is still raving about it. The new owners are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. Paul made me a signature cocktail with muddled blackberries, so good. We will definitely be going back to try the wings and other dishes. More...

There is a new owner and seems like they are leaning into the pizza. We got the eggplant parm, meat pie and a cheese pie. The eggplant parm was not cooked fully and fibrous . The pizza was cooked better then previous food here's. Assuming they increased the temp in the oven to get a crispier dough without over cooking. The issue with the pizza was the oil. One of the soggiest pizzas I have ever eaten. It's to bad the flavor profile was really good but overpowered by oil pouring off each slice. Olive oil is a blessing and should be appreciated so there is no need to drown in it. More...

Be VERY careful in this neighborhood. Do NOT park in the garage across the street. It is crawling with junkies. So are the streets around Hazel, but at least you won't be trapped in a parking garage with them.

We were thrilled with our take out last night, especially the slices, which our household New Yorker proclaimed were the closest to NYC pizza he’s ever had in Vermont! It does seem like there are some kinks with the new ordering system, and there is no curbside delivery-ha. Also napkins and utensils are important for take out! More...

We came to their soft open and everything was wonderful. Best pizza crust I've had in a long time. GREAT drinks at the bar.

Grabbed takeout from Hazel and everything was delicious. Ordered the veggie pizza with tomato, mushroom, roasted peppers and olives. Crust was nice and crispy. Lemon dry-rubbed wings were crispy and juicy and the arugula salad made the meal feel virtuous. Friendly staff. They even have cocktails to go. My only dings are it was an over an hour wait and the pizza got a bit soggy on the 10 minute drive. Would definitely return! More...

I got the Preston pizza and it was killer... went back four days later for a build your own calzone--also spectacular-- I love the herbs and seasonings they sprinkle on top of the calzone too. I also got the arugula/goat cheese/cranberry/onion crisp salad-- it was a simple salad but the ingredients were fresh including the dressing-- delicious! I come into town for work a couple times a week and will def be a regular here. More...

Super hoping place but the staff were excellent. They could use a new air conditioner or better a/c distribution. Otherwise, good food, good service.

This place is a wonderful find. The pizza was terrific, made exactly to order wish the freshest of ingredients. Likewise for the mixed green salad. And the onion rings (always on the hunt for good onion rings!) did not disappoint -- they were among the best. If we'd left it at that, I'd be giving Hazel five stars. However -- what they did so well with the onion rings just doesn't work for chicken Parmesan. The cutlet was overly breaded (way too thick a coating) and tasted as though it had been fried not baked. But, again, that could simply be a function of the excessive breading. It was over penne pasta, that had zero red sauce. I'm not sure if the ever so slight runoff from the mozzarella and breadcrumbs on the chicken was intended to be a sauce? Either way, it did not work. The pasta had no sauce. The chicken wings were nothing to write home about. The dipping sauce was tasty enough, but the wings were particularly skimpy on meat. And the desserts -- ugh. Awful. We tried 2. A butterfinger candy bar would've been tastier than the butterfinger cheesecake. It was junky as junky can be. Lastly, the energetic young woman who greeted us at the door was quick to take our credit card, but neglected to bring us our cocktail. She threw brought the cocktail, but not our pizza! Had to be reminded of that as well. If you have no tables to wait on/ are only doing takeout, which is the case at Hazel, being organized about the orders you're sending people away with shouldn't be that difficult. More...
