Best burger on the menu is the whipper burger plus the strawberry lemonade is the best, the wait time might be a bit longer than expected but for the burger it's definitely worth the wait

Burgers and onion rings are delicious! I was in the area and was looking for a burger joint. Not a drive thru spot but more like a "local spot" and this place had great reviews so I had to try it and let me tell you, the reviewers weren't lying. This place is a must if you're in the area. This place is amazing. My mother in law has been doing Christmas eve dinner here at least 5 years and she orders 18 tacos and 8 burgers. While cruising down this wide and auto shop oriented part of Imperial Highway, the two story building that houses the business will stand out and get you to turn on Slater Street. But before you can realize it, you have basically pulled into a private block party, an enduring one that has been going on for decades. Put the car in reverse and get back on the main street, because there is little chance to find parking here on a sunny day.When you walk back to the shop, the block party is less private than it may have seemed when you first invaded. Under a temporary canopy adorned with a banner reading "Voted Best Burgers in Los Angeles," a few tables seem to be the permanent businesses of smiling men selling various things, but who will be more than willing to make space since technically the chairs are put out for customers.Take your burger outside to eat, for the feeling of enjoying an 80's backyard barbecue. This place is the bomb. It is located on Imperial Hwy, across from the housing project...but people come to this place from everywhere. ...locals, policemen, firemen, county employees, etc. There food is cooked on the spot so it is a little wait, but when you get your food it well worth the wait trust me! Oh my goodness.... MASSIVE BURGERS, the definition of a hole in the wall. They're amazing tasting burgers but honestly, you can find yourself well with a "children" sized burger --I put that in quotation marks bc children sized is literally the size of a regular BK whopper-- they're fries, strawberry lemonade and infamous burgers literally have people from all around the US coming back to have a taste of their food.
