Love love love this place, food and service always amazes me! It's a must go to when in Longboat Key!

Had lunch outside on a perfect Florida day- high 60's and low humidity.  We started with warm fresh banana bread that was complementary and I had a Reuben with grilled corn and feta salad while my wife had a crab cake salad.  Both were outstanding.  The crab cakes were generous with little filler while the Reuben  melted in my mouth.  This oasis on Longboat is not cheap but you get what you pay for.  If you want tasty food, try Harry's.  He also has prepared foods plus a large variety of both baked goods and interesting salads.pLenty of parking available so dine in or dine out.Got the meat loaf dinner consisting of mashed potatoes, 2 large slices of meat loaf smothered with mushrooms (yum!) and a biscuit.  Restaurant quality food at Home. We ordered the turkey dinner for our Christmas meal plus cranberry bread and everything was excellent.  about 4 slices of both white and dark meat, stuffing, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes, string beans, and gravy; topped it off with chocolate peacan pie and pumpkin pie.  Absolutely mouthwatering and enough left over for another meal.  About $35/ person but worth it with each bite.  Thank you Harry's! Loved Harry's the moment I walked in.  I thought it was a quick luncheonette as it was somewhat off the beaten path.   Voila. ..pretty pretty restaurant.  Lovely lovely ambiance...all white which made the back garden pop through the window.   They had me with the white tablecloths. We had caesar salad..dont hold the anchovies  (Cesar salad has anchovies  duh,,)  the menu was as lovely as the restaurant.   Must go back for dinner. More...

We had a really nice time at Harry's for brunch. Even though it was their last day before break, we had awesome service and food was great. We had a group of 8 that was seated rather quickly especially on short notice. Harry's has a really classy vibe - white tablecloths and nice touches gave me an upscale vibe. A bunch of people at the table got the German pancakes. They were really good and a must try if you're in the area. I had the salmon salad, which was put together quite well. Really glad I opted for this. The apple slivers really brightened things up. I heard rave reviews for the Bloody Mary. It comes with bacon and a bunch of pickled veggies on a toothpick. This is by far our favorite spot on Longboat. We make a visit there at least once every time we are in town. Its appearance is unassuming but the food and service are top notch.
