Sooo I found myself in la for a surprise trip my bf whisked me away for... unfortunately I didn't have any notice to get my hair done before and was a HOT MESS! ! thankfully I must've done something AMAZING in a past life bc I randomly walked into the harlot and found my fairy godmother for the day!! I've always been a person who bounces around to different salons, always having trouble finding "the one", the person who just gets it! Especially because I have a shorter hairstyle. Well, my search is finally over because I have found Beth! She is the ultimate professional. She asks questions, takes the time and really wants to understand what you're looking for instead of just treating you like just another wig in the chair. I've been going to Beth for over two years now and she blesses my hair to the precision gods EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! She's a great listener, always has input and ideas- which is actually refreshing. She knows exactly how to tame my thick wavy texture so that I am able to slay this cute sassy bob in my natural wave or straight if I like! She is patient and pays attention to detail. The salon has a cool vibe, it feels really big in there. The staff is nice and i  felt welcome there. I started coming here to see Brittiany .. I'm a hair stylist myself & if I was my own client I would fire me because I'm always doing the most with my hair one time I want to be platinum blonde the next time I want to be pink the next time I want to be half pink half purple and the time after that - platinum again . . seriously I'm a nightmare. I love this salon! I couldn't be happier my artist - Jessica Kenna has joined this team. I've been going to crazy Jess Kenna since she's been in Santa Monica. I've followed her all around the town and this location is by far my fave.  She's been doing my color Brazillian and my extensions. I've tried other artist and every time Jessica has saved my ass and always knows how to fix a disaster. I've learned my lesson and don't stray (loyal and obedient). I have to also give a SHOUTOUT to Eric. He does some pretty sick braids (had purple braids for LiB) i loves them so much. Ending this with a big kiss for Harlot and the team. Ps. I was visiting some family members in LA a few weeks ago. I went to get my hair done for a night out in Hollywood. I was in Brittiany's chair and my hair will never be the same. I have curly, frizzy and hard to handle hair.  I was very nervous when she first started because I wasn't use to dry cuts. My hair looked fabulous and weeks later still does. I absolutely love this place! Such a great location on Melrose! I found it because my long time hairstylist, Brittiany works there now! I started seeing her in Philadelphia, where were both from, after I read that she was voted best of Philly for color. She has the magic touch with my dirty blonde hair. She uses the balayage to make my hair blend and look natural. She also cuts my hair dry which is something I've never had before and totally love! No fly a aways! Brittiany is not just a hair stylist, she's an artist. When she dry-cuts my hair, its like she's sculpting a masterpiece- the way she makes sure every section of my hair is perfectly blended. Britt has also fixed bad color mistakes that I had done before I finally made my way to her several years ago. She always listens to what I want done but over the years I've found some of my favorite styles and colors were the ones I told her I just needed a change and for her to put her talent and craft to work. I always leave her chair feeling confident, beautiful and revitalized, it's so refreshing having a stylist that takes the time to truly know you and your hair. I had the best experience with Jess Kenna. I went in for a haircut and got an entire experience. It started with Jess asking me a bunch of questions about my daily, weekly, monthly hair routine. Elaborating on the questions to get specifics about what I do. To be honest, I was caught off guard and had to think about it because I've never had someone ask me this before. We did a full consultation about what I want, how I Style my hair, how it lays, etc. She gave me the best shampoo scalp rinse/massage I've ever had. She ended up cutting my hair and consulting me the entire time. She even advised me against what I was thinking and explained why... she was so right. Also, the champagne was a total bonus. I absolutely love The Harlot! The staff is super attentive and it's easy to carry on a conversation with several stylists at the salon. I've always walked out of the salon extremely satisfied. I've been going to Tiffany for over 10 years now and she's been my go-to girl. I'm the type of person who always wants to change my look every 6 months. When I tell Tiff what I have in mind she's always up for the challenge and does the most amazing job. I've had so many different hair colors, balayages, anything that you could possibly do to your hair I've done it and Tiff has been so patient with me. I could be her only client for the day because it takes so much time to do my hair but there's never a dull moment. She's a master colorist, very creative and super dedicated to her craft. She's always upfront about what is doable and I appreciate that because my hair is super healthy.  I've recommended so many of my friends and coworkers who are now her recurring clients and they've all thanked me because they all look BOMB. I've gotten so many compliments (including one from Kelly Rowland) and I carry a stack of Tiff's cards in my purse in case I need to hand one out.I already have my next appointment booked! After procrastinating for a few months to change my stylist, I finally made an appointment with Marylle who was recommended to me by a client and so far it's the best thing I've done in 2019! !Marylle is a hair wizard!  I was super nervous as anyone would be after going to the same person for many years but it was time for a change.  I wasn't quite sure if this was the place for me as I'm super conservative and "The Harlot" is a very trendy place and the staff has a cool edgy vibe.  Marylle was so nice and had an amazing sense of humor that made me feel comfortable, like I fit in.  I LOVED my cut as well as everyone I came in contact with at the salon, professional yet down to earth.  Not sure how to explain it but besides loving my hair I felt alive again!  I highly recommend "The Harlot" to anyone looking to make a change for the better. Tiffany is a hair magician and I'm so, so extremely happy to have found her. She's one of the hardest working women I know, and she's passionate about her craft. I love that she doesn't mind doing my blunt bobs, and she does them with a smile and with pleasure every time. Her clients adore her and so do her fellow Harlot stylists. She does hair for celebrities too because guess what, SHE'S THAT GOOD. Her work ethic is unmatched and her love and appreciation for her clients is real. I started seeing Tiffany in Pasadena when she worked in that area, but I don't mind the drive to her because my husband goes crazy when he sees my revived hair. She's worth every penny. Her ability to transform hair will blow you away. Your hair will be and stay at its healthiest. I trust her 100%. Even when I'm running late(drive from Pasadena), the salon is accommodating and mellow. I do let them know but they are always kind and professional. Go see Nora!  I have thick, wavy, soft hair, which makes for a seriously challenging situation and Nora does an excellent job everytime.  She's helped me take my hair short, long, and now I have a heavy fringe.
