Happy Pup Manor is a home away from home for my doodle. Gabby understands what it means to provide a ‘home-like’ environment for dogs. They know the dogs not just by name but understand their personalities and their requirements thoroughly. They pay attention to detail and all special requests ( my dog had an ear infection and I didn’t want him to swim or get his face and ears vet) are catered to. Hands down the BEST experience for us and our 6 month old mini Goldendoodle puppy!!!I had countless friends recommend Gabby and based of all the positive reviews, I decided to contact her. Being first time puppy owners, we knew it was going to be a lot of work but had no idea how to manage it and where to even start with age-appropriate training. Bailey had all the typical puppy behaviors: nipping, biting, over-excitement, jumping on people, and the one that impacted our family the most, chasing and jumping on our kids, who were becoming terrified of her!! She displayed some resource guarding with her bully sticks and toys where she would growl at us when we went near her. She also was very scared of other dogs due to minimal socialization and an incident where another dog attacked her at 4 months :(. Needless to say, we were skeptical how Gabby would handle all of these challenges with Bailey. After the 10-day board and train, Gabby met with our family and brought home our sweet transformed pup. And when I say transformed, I mean completely, amazingly, transformed!! Gabby showed us all of the basic manner commands Bailey was taught, but more impressive to us was how well-adjusted, HAPPY and well-mannered she came back! Bailey’s been back now for 2 weeks and I purposely waited a couple of weeks to write this review just in case it was temporary and the “magic” would wear off and she would revert back to her old puppy ways. I’m so happy to report that she is still amazing and perfect!! We have been consistent with what Gabby taught us and our sweet Bailey is so well-mannered and has NO resource guarding (bully sticks, food, treats, toys) AT all!! We can literally tell her to drop anything and she does!! She is now friendly with other dogs and walks so nicely on the leash (no pulling!!)We don’t know how Gabby and her team does it but they are simply the BEST!! Happy Pup Manor did an outstanding job with my 4 month old petite goldendoodle pup Charlie.  First, I reached out to Gabby via phone to inquire about the program and what to expect after her and her team came highly recommended from fellow doodle owners/parents. Her enthusiasm and warm demeanor were so welcoming as well as her display of overall knowledge of training and dogs translated so easily in that call that I knew this is where I wanted Charlie to go.  The weeks leading up to her departure Gabby's team sends out an email of what to expect and all the do's and don'ts etc so that sending your pup off is really quite easy and really organized.  Her husband Brian text me while on his way to pickup Charlie and arrived timely.  He came in to meet myself and Char and while Im not sure what else he does as far as HPM goes once the pups are back at the manor, his overall way he handled Charlie was so sweet and kind that again it was confirmed that this was the right place to send her.  While away for the 10 days I received pics of Charlie during her downtime as well as a few videos to see her mingling with her new pals.  A few one off texts with Gabby keeping me in the loop as to her findings with Charlie and me asking questions based on my concerns but overall I kept the questions to a minimum as I didn't want to tie up the trainers messaging but would rather them be engaged with the pups.  Charlie returned home with Gabby by her side.  The following weeks I worked on all the things Gabby had taught me/us. She has now been home almost 3 months and I have the sweetest pup around.  I bring her to shopping malls, home goods, restaurant patios, flew with her to Naples FL, and so on and everywhere we go we/she is complimented on how well behaved she is and how well she takes commands.  I couldn't be more pleased with the training she received.  I have also noticed that when we run into a new bad habit she is very easily broken of said habit.  She recently picked up 'counter surfing' as something she wanted to test out.  Within a week, we had broken the habit.  Twice I have had to reach out to Gabby as Charlie seemed to test me but with a little more guidance and encouragement, Gabby had us back on track.  WE WOOF HAPPY PUP MANOR!!! Our puppy went straight from our breeder to training at Happy Pup Manor and we couldn’t be happier! Gabby was always quick to respond to questions and available to talk if needed. Happy Pup Manor picked up our precious puppy from the breeder and cared for him for 10 days of training. We knew our puppy was getting love and attention from Gabby. She sent us videos and pictures daily of our puppy. The training was done well! Our puppy’s transition to our home went with GREAT ease! He was crate trained and he loves his crate (never whines or cries). He was potty trained and yet to have an accident in the house. Gabby also trained him to know his name, come, sit, stay, down, and play dead . Our puppy was always around other dogs at HPM and it helped him to be socialized. Our dog Buck is a very high energy 8 month old puppy. My husband was very skeptical that he could be trained. Gabby had him for two weeks and he came back a well-behaved puppy! He is still is energetic self, but she showed us he does have impulse control. He does not pull us along on walks, he sits and stays and he will stay on his "bed" until we tell him to come. Gabby is fantastic! Cosmo, our Goldendoodle, has stayed at Happy Pup Manor a couple of times now. The first time we sent him to Gabby he was a wonderful puppy but he was biting, didn't like walks, and struggled with being crated. After 10 days of training he came home a new and improved puppy. The nipping was gone; the crating was no longer an issue; and, he now happily came on walks! Gabby came to our house and even trained us a bit. She spent an hour with us explaining a few best practices for managing our puppy's behavior. Since then, Cosmo has boarded at Happy Pup Manor. He clearly enjoys the experience. Gabby sends video updates and he is always having a good time with the other dogs. He comes home clean and happy. We love the door-to-door service and can't say enough about Gabby. Happy Pup Manor is a home away from home for our pup, Duke. After we adopted him we needed to find a place to have him trained. My son, Patrick researched several options and after talking to Gabby at Happy Pup Manor he was convinced. Duke went for the 10 day training and came home a happy well trained pup. He is still a handful but what puppy isn’t. He is calmer and listens better than ever before. Gabby and her team of trainers treat your dog as their own. He has boarded there as well. He looks forward to his time boarding at Happy Pup Manor. He has plenty of supervised playtime, and minimal time in a crate. Gabby gives your dog the love she gives her own. I am so grateful for Gabby and the entire team at Happy Pup Manor. He completed the 10 day training and has also stayed at Happy Pup Manor for boarding. My dog, Figgy, has always had a lot of energy AND a lot of anxiety. Which was a deadly combination when I lived in a high rise in the middle of Chicago. I had cycled through several classes, private trainers and anxiety medication to help Figgy settle in. And on top of that, I was spending all of my free time working on training, with really slow results. After Figgy came back from 10 day training, he was the same dog with big vibrant energy, but he was a hundred times more confident in himself, alleviating a lot of his anxiety. It has been the biggest gift to see my dog at peace and comfortable with other dogs. On top of that, he sits next to me in his bed all day while I work without any effort on my end. Now it feels so good to know that Figgy has a home away from home when I am traveling. I feel so comfortable knowing that he's with Gabby. I'll never forget the first time he came home from training and it was so cold outside-Gabby carried him inside in her jacket; so I know she treats my dog like he's one of her dogs. Our pup Misha started with Happy Pup Manor for the board and train as a puppy with excellent results. WOW! Happy Pup Manor was the best decision me and my husband made when our little labradoodle puppy Tucker came home. We were lucky enough to get introduced to Gabby and her team by a local Lincoln Park family and she responded right away.

Gabby's 10-day training was the best investment we have made for our dog and we credit his amazing behavior, loving personality and obedience to her. She treats every puppy that she takes on like her own and gives you peace of mind knowing she cares for them and teaches them with a caring, smart and effective demeanor! After the 10-day training our puppy came back so well trained and was full of tricks that we were so proud of. Almost two years later, we are constantly complimented on our dog's behavior and how well trained he is. Gabby is absolutely amazing! We adopted a Labrador and struggled day after day with him. Between spending an hour outside trying to get him to go potty, to him constantly biting, jumping, accidents, the list could go on and on we were getting burnt out. We tried training him ourselves but we were not having any success. I spoke with Gabby soon after we got him and thought I could train him myself. After a month we didn't accomplish anything. We started rethinking our adoption decision. I called Gabby again on a Sunday evening to get more information on her training. Gabby was heading to a lesson but made time for my questions. She immediately offered to pick him up that evening after her lesson. Gabby was beyond accommodating and friendly. She explained everything and reassured me he was in great hands. Throughout his training Gabby sent me videos, pictures, and updated me on his progress. Fast forward 10 days and he is a completely different dog. All of his bad habits are gone. She is a dog whisper, magician you name it. We are finally enjoying our pup. The biting, jumping, chaos has stopped! We can actually have him sit with us without worrying about him having an accident or biting our kids. I highly recommend Happy Pup Manor!! We sent our 1.5 year old German Shepherd to Happy Pup Manor for the 10 day board and train program. We adopted our sweet girl and her skills needed some refining. She is such a sweet, affectionate girl and her jumping was out of control because she was always so excited to see us. We sent her away for the 10 day program, which was very difficult, but Gabby reassured us and sent us pictures and updates throughout her stay! She came back to us after the 10 days with her same sweet, loving personality but with manners. Her jumping is very much under control now and she listens so attentively when we ask her to do things! We truly appreciate Gabby and her professionalism. We rescued a 14 month old German Shorthair pointer and sought out Gabby to assist Tucker in becoming a trained member of our family. Gabby worked wonders with Tucker. We are truly amazed at the changes we see in him. Having previously owned German Shorthairs in the past, we were well aware of their traits and often strong-willed personalities. Gabby is absolutely AMAZING!!! We first learned of Gabby through word-of-mouth. We have a 5-year-old lab/collie/husky mix who we rescued when he was about 2. He had many bad habits we tried so hard to break but just couldn’t do it ourselves. We sent Hank to Gabby’s 10-day training and he came back the same goofy, happy puppy but SO WELL MANNERED!!! She made our lives so much easier and trained us on how to handle him. She really helped us understand why Hank did the things he did and how we can correct his behavior. She is simply amazing. I will only take Hank to board with Gabby because I know he has so much fun while he is there and is in such great hands! Gabby is a magician! We sent our very feisty, very mouthy puppy to her as a last resort. We have a toddler and for two months all our puppy would do was bite her, eat food right out of our hands and off the table, and bark so much. Gabby and team at Happy Pup Manor were amazing with my dog, Izzy. Izzy is a shin tzu who is just over a year old. After moving, Izzy started having accidents in the house and was having a hard time readjusting to living in a house vs. apartment. I took Izzy to the 10 day board and stay with Gabby and I cannot believe the difference in Izzy. Gabby and team were amazing to my dog, they sent constant updates, and they dropped Izzy off after her stay and taught us everything she learned. Despite reading books and watching videos prior to getting our new puppy, the initial training was not very successful. Enter Gabby and, about two weeks later, we got back a happy and an exceptionally improved pet. We are so happy we found Gabby and Happy pup manor! We got married and went on our honeymoon and needed someone to watch our 6 mo old very hyper mini goldendoodle for 12 days. We loved that Gabby is a dog trainer, she gives your dog the individual attention you would want, she is very knowledgeable, has a huge yard for the dogs to play all day and her place is so clean! No other place we would have felt more comfortable leaving him for such a long time.She even sent us videos of him playing in the yard while we were away, and trimmed his eyes for us since they were in his face and we were so busy with the wedding we didn’t have time for a cut before we left! Soooo, where to start? Gabby took our 7 month old Bernese mix Millie for what was a 12 day board and train. Everything about this experience was fantastic ! From the very first contact to the continuous updates we knew that Millie was in the right place. The Happy Puppy Manor well exceeded our expectations as far as the finished ( but ongoing ) training Millie received. Our other dog is a Bernese Mtn. Dog that has been part of the family for the last 9 plus years and Millie has been a great addition. The training Millie received has given us a dog (puppy ) with great manners. I told Gabby that I love the spirit of this breed and that I didn't want to loose that but I wanted her to give us that same spirited puppy but with manners. Gabby is like one stop shopping. She picked up Millie for the training, brought her home and then spent time with the family to go over the training done. If you're like myself you hate having to board your dogs but Happy Puppy Manor is like a vacation for them; 2 plus acres to romp around on. Clark, my Irish Goldendoodle, has now had two trips to Happy Pup Manor. He successfully completed Gabby's 10 day training program, which was a godsend as Clark unfortunately was not responding well to my wife and I's training attempts at other sites/classes. However upon return he was completely transformed. Still the happy goofy dog we knew but all of a sudden extremely responsive to commands and very well behaved around other dogs and people (previously quite the jumper). Even after his training session she spent time with Dani and I to ensure we would be setup for success in maintaining his training. If you have a puppy the TRAINING IS A MUST; I will 100% be sending any new dog additions to our family back.After this excellent experience it was also no brainer to send him to Gabby when my wife and I left for Hawaii a year later. It was very re-assuring sending him to a place where not only would he be cared for with love, but somewhere with such a fantastic outdoor facility for him to play. Gabby also sent daily videos, which are great to see clips of him enjoying such fun with all the other dogs on her property. Happy Pup Manor also has an amazing valet service for dogs, and with her flexible schedule it was very accommodating to ensure a smooth pick-up and drop-off for Clark. Happy Pup Manor is certainly a fitting name for this organization and I will certainly see them again in my near future. More...

Where to even begin? Gabby has been excellent! I adopted my Sheepadoodle, Laney, earlier this year when she was six years old. Laney had very little training before and was having some issues with separation anxiety. Gabby had worked wonders on my parent's Goldendoodle puppy, so I sent Laney for the board and train program. Laney came back and was well trained and had no issues going into her crate, which significantly helped her anxiety issues. Laney was much calmer and easy to work with when I got back. The difference was night and day.A couple of months later I was leaving for vacation and the first person I thought of to watch Laney was Gabby. Gabby made it incredibly easy and picked up and dropped off Laney from my house. She also sent me updates while I was away, which reassured me that Laney was having lots of fun with the other dogs.I highly recommend Gabby, and Laney will be back for future trips! More...
