Hands down the BEST force free trainer in Pittsburgh!!! As a dog rescuer I have seen many dog trainers and how they work.. .Christine is the only one I trust with our dogs. She has such a zen personality even with the most aggressive of dogs. I admire how she interacts with the dogs that she trains and you can tell the dogs respect her out of the kindness she shows. Our dogs LOVE LOVE LOVE HER and so do we!!! I HIGHLY recommend Christine for your dogs! Christine is just amazing ! She taught us so much in such a short amount of time. In just 1 session my puppy was 75% trained . She's the true dog whisperer. Lol. I have known Christine for a few years and have personally seen her Training Techniques in action. She has a great rapport with clients as well as with her four legged clients. She has a wealth of knowledge of Reward Based training and has helped her clients with basic training as well as shy behavior, nuisance or aggressive behaviors. No problem is too big or too small. About 3 years ago I was in search of a puppy to rescue. I am forever grateful that my journey let to Christine. She had been fostering an adorable "Coonadore". ...the runt of 13 puppies from momma Red Tick English Coonhound and a black lab father. At only 12 weeks old, he was the smartest! She had him house trained, crate trained and so well behaved. When I walk him now, I am still amazed at how he stays right by my side! She trains our 3 month old Portuguese Water Dog in our home and helps me train him at the groomer, vet office, and busy places with people and children. She has trained my husband and I with our two young boys also to be great puppy/ dog owners. She is kind hearted, fun and really patient. She has changed him from a puppy biting machine into a happy nip-free (but still energetic) pup. She takes your lifestyle and personality into consideration when figuring out what to work on first and how she can be of best help. Christine was amazing. She showed up with Chicken, Peanut Butter and interactive dog toys. We had just gotten a new puppy and I was amazed at how quickly she taught my puppy how to sit and wait for food. When I got him food he would jump and hit the bowl and spill it all over the floor. Literally within 5 minutes, she taught him to sit and wait for his bowl to be set on to the floor. She helped us with many issues like leave it, stay, getting into his crate on demand. She's very friendly and very responsive. My son and I. And even my new pup looked forward to her visits. They were educational and fun! 5 stars!! Christine is a great individual and great at what she does! A little over two years ago I adopted my dog from Save A Mom Rescue and Christine was fostering him before he came to me. When she brought him to my house for the first time she made sure to spend much time with the both of us to make sure it would be a smooth transition and a good fit. She was available after that day to answer any questions and give excellent advice and tips, she even made a special trip out a few weeks later just to make sure he was adapting well to his new environment! My dog Angelo came from a pretty bad situation. He'd never been outside - ever - for the first year of his life and he lived with 24 other dogs. He was not treated very nicely by people, and he came to me terrified of being touched by people. The first class that we took was an obedience class taught by Christine. I would only ever take a class that uniquely uses positive training methods. Christine was so patient and understanding of Angelo's past and his issues. She never pushed him past his threshold and he made so much progress that he actually started approaching a few people in the class. At one point, she stopped the class because Angelo was "having a moment!" He actually was covering a man with kisses! Everyone was so proud of him! A year later, he is still fearful of most people, but he has absolutely made progress. I highly recommend Christine as a knowledgable, professional, kind trainer! More...

I was in desperate need of a trainer. I had just gotten a new puppy, and my 3 year old boxer had now become aggressive to a dog she was once friendly with! We were all going on vacation soon, and I needed help!

I did a search online, and Christine was the first to respond. I called her right away and we set up a private session at home. She was flexible and accommodating.

When Christine came over, she was able to work with Nani, my 3 y/o boxer, Nalu, my 8 week old boxer and also Bubba, my brothers pit bull. Even though she was there for Nani, she gave insightful and useful information for all 3 dogs. She calmed our nerves. She gave us new techniques to try and use and has made herself readily available to any and all of my questions since our session.

Christine was great working with my 8 year old pit mix. He is a very high energy dog that has had instances of biting people and aggressive behavior. She was very detailed in gathering information from me about his personality and activity then used that information to teach us tools and training techniques to curb this behavior. The most helpful parts were her explanations of why he showed aggression or nervousness and markers to look for in his posture and appearance. She also worked with us on other, less imperative but still annoying behaviors. For example, he always pulled me on walks but we’ve been working that out to the point where he can calmly walk beside me even if other dogs or people are around. We had her over for 6 lessons. There’s still a lot of training to be done, but she gave me enough advice that I now feel comfortable working with him on my own. I wouldn’t say he is a completely different dog but after 6 lessons I feel much better about having him around people and teaching him to be a better companion. More...

Christine is the first and only person you should call. We had 1 problem dog who would have accidents and the house and were about to bring home a new bundle of joy. Christine worked with us on the problem dog and helped prepare us for bringing home our new baby. She helped us prepare the other dogs for the new arrival and help us set boundaries with the puppy. She was such an e cella t help that we were able to remodel the first floor of our house and get new furniture that our problem destroyed. Our puppy was so trained that she was not like having a puppy at all because of all the training techniques Christine gave us. Our puppy immediately hit the ground running.
