My friends as I decided to had a nice brunch together and relieve some stress from working in healthcare each night so we decided on Happenings on Elm and from the moment we walked in we were just in awe of the atmosphere and inviting feeling. We were immediately greeted and told we could sit anywhere we liked. There are multiple rooms, some with couches and living room style seating, there is a traditional dining room in the back, there are local artists painting hanging around. Everywhere there is something new and beautiful to see! We spent hours here just relaxing, drinking mimosas, eating, and talking. The staff is amazing. They all checked on us multiple times. The chef came to speak to us multiple times to make sure we didn’t need anything and see how we liked everything. As a Lumberton local I’m surprised I didn’t know about this place. It’s a perfect cozy with friends or romantic lunch/dinner destination for anyone in the Lumberton area. Such a breath of fresh air from the standard cookie cutter and chain places that Lumberton is full of. We will absolutely be back. 10/10 experience!! More...
