Q&As

Imagery. Sure you want to let potential customers/clients know what you are all about, but you have to wow them the second they hit your site. Everything after that is the part that you want them to know. Interacting with the client on your site is an added plus. They (potential client) might not know it, but a good web designer keeps up with the latest trends in the industry - what's the hot color this year, storytelling, minimalism, animation - animated logos, short stories, and the return of the GIF; inventive typography - there are literally thousands of typefaces to choose from these days; illustration, responsive design, mobile functionality, to name a few.

Getting your point across without requiring the reader to read long paragraphs. Make your point in visual ways with interspersed text and headlines, graph and illustration. Make it move across the page or up and down with strips. Have a call to action on the "home" page - be it a contact form, a chance to win something, a contest - something to engage the reader.

And lastly, do your SEO homework. We will do initial seo to get you started which is included in the web design package.
We can do more extensive optimization at request.

If it's web design I would ask if they are ready with their copy, any images they want on the site, do they already have a domain name, and if so, where is it registered, what type of site they are looking for - professional, whimsical, funny, industrial, etc. Do they want any particular color scheme? If there is e-commerce involved, how many products, where to obtain images, how many attributes to each product are there. What type of payment portal are they looking to use? If they provide services, are they based on time appointments?

Graphic design will follow the same format of questioning above with additional questions such as - how many colors are involved? Will it bleed off the page? Depending on the project - business cards, flyers, ad promotional collateral will depend on what type of questions need to be asked
