I’m so glad we chose James to take our pictures while in Kauai. He was easy to work with and very patient with our 9 year old who wasn’t thrilled to be taking photos. He was great in offering suggestions on the location for the photos. As a family who doesn’t exactly feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, James got some great shots. James was AWESOME! He showed up early to our appointment to scout out the perfect spots for our shoot. He recommended a beautiful spot at sunrise with little to no foot traffic so it made the background in each photo breathtaking. He guided us through natural poses and had fun with us. If you value unique quality photos and a high level of professionalism, Hanalei Family Photo is a must. We decided last minute to attempt scheduling a family photo shoot, while vacationing on Kaua’i. James was extremely responsive and accomodating to our request. We have a VERY active, independent 2 year old, so we weren’t sure how things would work out. During the shoot James was patient and unfazed by Ezra’s unwillingness to play along. James did a wonderful job with our family photos we had taken while on vacation in Kauai during Christmas. The photos are beautiful and he was so friendly and kept us all smiling during our session. We have 2 girls under 3 and 1 and if you have children, you know how it can be difficult to keep everyone on the same page and to get them to smile at the same time. James took his time and he didn’t make us feel rushed at all, he even worked with us longer than the time included in our package. We had an official date picked for photos and a rain plan.
