I got a haircut from Tiffany. Just a trim to get all the dead ends off. I hadn't gotten a haircut in over a year so there was a lot! I've had many wonderful haircuts here! My stylist, Shelly, always does a great job with whatever style we want to attempt. Getting haircuts is often difficult for me because I really need a style that requires basically no maintenance at all. (Between bike helmets, lunchtime workouts, and a laissez-faire attitude towards my hairstyle, I can't be counted on to do anything more elaborate than drag a comb through my hair every once in a while.) This is really the best place to go if you want your hair cut or colored right. I’ve been to plenty of salons and it seemed that if I didn’t go here, overseas was practically my only other option for a proper razor cut. As for coloring, I don’t dye my hair but I like to play with highlights and wanted a balayage-ombré mix. Again, this is the place to go. Jose knew off the top what I wanted with hardly any explanation and did it efficiently. Hannah handled her razor like a pro. Props to both for their professionalism, consideration of my wants, friendliness and knowing how to make my hair look great. They actually had to clean up a previous cut and highlight I’d done a month before, and the trip here was well worth it. My new favorite hair salon! I got the honor to be styled by Sarah Homa, a very sweet and talented woman. Right off the bat I could tell she knew what she was doing and how she would handle my hair, which was not in good condition. She led me though the process letting me know everything she was doing step by step, which I thought was very professional of her because that made me aware of exactly what she was doing. I came to Hair International and saw Jose and loved his haircut. He is extraordinary, not only is he sweet, but he is passionate about hair and you can see it in his practice. I was looking for a all over haircut on my ends and he shaped my hair in a style that fits my face so well. His blow dry was enjoyable and admirable I hadn't had a blow dry quite like his before. I was visiting my daughter in Palo Alto and ended up extending my stay and missed my regular root touch up with my local stylist. I scheduled an appt. with Shirin. There is always a risk putting yourself in the hands of a colorist you are not familiar with. In this case the risk led to great reward! I have thin, wavy, frizzy, incorrigible hair. I typically race home and redo it. Not this time. Shirin did an awesome job- my color was perfect and the blow out left my hair silky and smooth. I will have to plan another visit so I can "miss" my regular stylist ( whom I really love). Even my daughters- generally very critical of my hair were pouring on the compliments! Thank you Shirin! Farzana is the best colorist I've had and I've seen upwards of 10 different colorists in the past 3 years. Anyone looking to have blond, sun-streaked natural highlights should not see anyone else. She goes above and beyond, I always make an appointment for partial highlights but she will go above and beyond to make sure you get the look you came in wanting. She is a master at what she does. Visiting family from out of town and heard that there was a Curly Girl specialist at the salon, and had to give it a shot. I had a terrible hair cut done about a year ago and was anxious, but Sarah did a WONDERFUL job fixing the mess I'd been working on growing out. I really really wish I had taken a before and after picture of my hair because it was that much of a transformation! A few things, first of all, the location is so ideal. Before or after your beauty appointment you can roam the shopping center or grab some lunch. It is a beautiful center and the shop itself is in a prime location. Pam is the owner of the salon, we had been talking previously and she is such a sweetheart. She made very clear notes in my profile about what I wanted and made scheduling so easy. I had been booked with Jesse for a cut and some toning. My hair was previously very brassy and I wanted a more dark chocolate brown look and I also wanted some layers for dimension. Jesse showed me a color book so he could have the best idea of what I wanted and that's exactly what he did for me. My cut was beautiful! Layered, dimensional, bouncy. I have no bad things to say about my hair. I went to lunch after my hair appointment and my sister was definitely interested in going to Jesse for her next cut! This Hair Salon is as good as it gets. I got my blonde Hilight ,cut and incredible conditioner treatment for my hair no matter how damaged it is. The salon used the best quality products. I literally own almost every product: Purple shampoo and purple conditioner from Gold well branch. I recommended to others who have had positive experiences as well. I'm not the one to get my hair done on a routine basis. I have pretty curly hair so it's manageable for the most part. I have read and read until I couldn't read anymore about whether to try Brazilian or Keratin. I was still undecided until I came across Hair International who only uses Agave. It sounded to good to be true but I was at a point where I just wanted and needed to do it. Simply used the chat option to ask my 100 questions and the owner Pam graciously recommended Emma. Thanking my lucky stars she did. Emma is a gem! Not only is her personality super sweet and very educated on the products, she did an amazing job. My hair is super silky and super straight! Today I felt an impulse for change but had little idea of what I actually wanted. Luckily I met Brande! I even gave her the challenge of giving me a dye style that I wouldn't have to maintain in the future. My hair started as a kind of dull light brown with little dimension. With one photo, Brande was able to create exactly what I wanted. I hadn't dyed my hair in years and was really worried about having an unnatural result. Brande was able to make an incredibly natural balayage that looks just like the photo I brought in. Yesterday I had my hair done by Sarah Homa at Hair International at Stanford Shopping Center.  My hair hadn't been done in a year and it was an absolute disaster going in.  I can't speak highly enough about Sarah. She worked an absolute miracle, not just with the cut but also with the color.  This is the best cut and colour I have had in years.  Sarah is a miracle worker!  She's brilliant and kind and patient and really listens.  I wish I had a before picture but the after was amazing! Hair International was one of the best walk-in haircuts I have ever had. I arrived early Sunday morning and business was already hot! Even so, I was seen about 5 minutes later. Hair International has always provided me with excellent service, but let me tell you, Becky took it to a whole it to a whole new level. Not only did she squeeze me in before seeing a regular client. She gave me the best shampoo wash I have ever had. Not the 1-2 minute wash you come to expect when getting a haircut, but at least a full four-five minutes. It was like getting a massage, I'm surprised I didn't fall asleep. She quickly and expertly cut my hair and styled it in less then 30 minutes. Lindsey Johnson is great! I had been looking for a place to go get a hair cut and get some damaged hair trimmed off.   In my search I found Hair International, I called and explained to Pam what I was looking for and the concerns I had. I've finally found a hair stylist and colorist who does amazing work and who I can trust to do the right thing with my hair. Sarah, at Hair International, is without doubt the best stylist around. This is the best salon in the Bay Area. I have been going to Atena for the past 4 years wherever she worked I would drive too, no matter the distance because she is just wonderful. I go to her for my eyebrows, makeup, and let's not forget about hair. She is amazing at what she does, other places always messed up my eyebrows, but Atena's threading is the best in the Peninsula, I only trust her with my eyebrows. I not only trust her with my eyebrows but with my hair too. Every time I go to Atena, my hair looks better and healthier every single time.
