I was there yesterday and got a great haircut from Sarah i love it and I will be back. Just wish the staff would have acknowledged me. No one but Sarah said hello to me even though there was a receptionist and other stylists around. Just felt very uncomfortable maybe a bad day? I was referred here by a family member. The salon is very warm and welcoming. I was greeted right when I walked in. The salon was very clean. I saw Dawn who did a great job on my hair. I moved from South Philly after 71 years to Aston Pa. I didn’t get to choose my salon when I was younger. I would just go to my grandmother’s friend’s salon and get a haircut for free. And while I appreciated it, I just wasn’t a fan of how my hair would look. So when I turned 16 I stopped going to a salon because I didn’t trust anyone to cut my hair, so I just wouldn't have it cut. But when I turned 18 I needed a salon for prom and I was scared to go to anywhere because I didn’t want my hair messed up again. This was my first time here and I had the best experience.. I booked an appointment for a hair cut, layers to be precise.. . I showed Sarah a picture and answered a couple of questions regarding what I wanted.. She nailed it and I never got this result from so many other reputed salons in Philadelphia... The ambiance is clean and friendly... I enjoyed the music... And the cherry on the cake was the price.. At $45 ( excluding gratuity) I left with a fabulous hair cut! I go to Sydney and she is wonderful. She did a fantastic job on my complete makeover from gray (all one length) to sassy, layered brunette again. .. she completely understood what I wanted and did that. Next visit was just a cleanup - with some special attention to problem issues. Again - she "got it" instantly. She is also a genuinely sweet and intelligent woman and the atmosphere in there is very down to earth and friendly. They never try to shame you or sell you on things ... Sydney is incredibly professional and kind. She always listens to what I want and does an incredible job with my color and cut. It was one of the best experiences I've had with a hair stylist. I highly recommend Sydney! The salon itself is nice, I like sitting at the table for the color- it feels more social and there are always regulars in there talking - It is welcoming, peaceful, and clean - all important. A friend recommended Dawn at Hair Artistry and my entire experience was absolutely amazing. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It is a very clean, beautiful, and relaxing environment. Dawn was awesome, she listened and went over and above of what I asked her for. I showed her a picture and the girl's hair was waved/curled and she even did that for me- I never expected that!!! This is the first time I've loved a hair cut in a really long time. I had a 230 appointment and they closed at 4- I didn't feel rushed at all, and the shampoo was amazing!
