Katye was great from the get go! I was referred to Katye through a friend, and am so glad I was. I did a quick intro call with Katye so we could discuss services -- then scheduled a trial a few months later. Katye was very receptive to my requests and did a fantastic job at the trial, so I went into my wedding day feeling super confident. I felt the makeup on my wedding day was even better than the trial! Katye does amazing work...and does it quickly! She brought Sylvia to assist her on my wedding day. They did hair and makeup for 6 bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, and me (the bride!). Both Katye and Sylvia made sure each person was comfortable and happy with their hair and makeup. I strongly recommend! Katye is extremely professional, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. In the midst of planning the wedding for my brother, I had completely forgotten about booking a makeup and hair artist/ stylist for the family. When I contacted Katye and others, Katye was one of the first few who returned my call, understood my requirements, looked up her availability and reserved our family for an early morning wedding. She responded to all of the followup questions my family and I had prior to the wedding and we never felt rushed with any of the last minute questions/ requests that came up. I didn't have this experience with other notable artists I contacted in the Bay area. Thank you so much to Katye for the looks she gave me and my family. We all looked extremely beautiful, the makeup and hair held up well all day (from 3AM to 11PM with no touchup and two outfit changes) and we got lots of praises. I can't thank Katye enough for working and cooperating with us through a very busy day, keeping our nerves calm and allowing us to have a wonderful wedding day. Katye did two full looks for my trial. I had already done another trial with a different artist and had been disappointed in the results, so I was pretty nervous going into this trial. I am pretty picky, and had a pretty specific idea of what I wanted. Where the other artist refused to even try the look I wanted, Katye delivered in amazing fashion! She was professional and personable, and I can’t wait to have her do my wedding next week. I even recommended her to my bridesmaid for her wedding. Katye did my hair and makeup for my 12/9 wedding at Holman ranch, and she did an amazing job! She totally alleviated stress by staying on schedule, and getting everyone's hair and makeup done exactly as they wanted. Throughout the process, I had Katye do my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot, and the trial for my wedding and on both occasions she listened to exactly what I wanted. On my wedding day, she incorporated my tweaks from the trial, and both my hair and makeup lasted all day! Katye Rose is truly a goodness of hair and makeup. When it came down to the wedding, I had every detail planned to the tee. The one thing I was most apprehensive about was finding a hairstylist competent enough to harness my long (and somewhat-frizzy) hair into a ‘do that would last a 12-hour day and withstand the fog and mist of San Francisco. To my greatest fortune, I stumbled across Katye Rose on The Knot. From Day 1, she was an absolute joy to work with. Katye, with the expertise of a true professional, styled my hair into the most elegant, classic, and gorgeous updo. I was floored! Not only did it elicit rave reviews from the wedding guests, it also held up remarkably well through an entire day of pictures, lawn games, and dancing in the elements of San Francisco. With regard to the makeup, Katye listened very closely to what I wanted, and during the trial she was extremely amenable to feedback. From the smoky-brown eyes and perfectly applied false eyelashes to the final touch of lipstick, the look was more beautiful than I’d ever imagined, and I felt like a princess the entire day. If you are starting your search for your hair and makeup artist for your wedding, look no further! Katye and her assistant did a fabulous job for me and my bridesmaids. From the first time I reached out to Katye to the trial and our actual wedding day, Katye was extremely organized, professional and prompt to respond. Katye nailed the look I was going for during the trial and was a pleasure to talk with...I could tell I made the right decision for my big day. I liked that Katye really delivered hair and makeup styles true to the inspiration pictures we all brought. She also made great suggestions along the way if we were uncertain on a particular aspect of our hair and makeup. My wedding was just over a week ago, but as I look back on the initial photos, I couldn't be happier with how my hair and makeup turned out. Katye was amazing ! I actually found her on Thumbtack and I checked out her work on her website and was impressed. She had very reasonable prices and after I decided to book with her, she sent me a schedule of start time, the order of all my bridesmaid's hair appointments as well as myself. I didn't do a bridal trial since all I wanted was a simple look- vintage waves so I met Katye on the big day. She was extremely friendly and very well prepared.
