Mrs Hadad took the initiative and fix me ala Carte on all the restaurant offers. Best lunch I have had in the Mediterranean cuisine . Gyro was soft and moist . Falafel was soft and buttery . We came here for dinner before a show at the Monarch Music Hall and we were not disappointed. Â The staff were friendly, helpful and hilarious to boot. Highly recommend the Lebanese platter because it has some of the traditional favorites and a few things we had never heard of. While we were there one of the regulars came in and you can tell just how much the staff know and appreciate them. It was fun to watch because you don't see that very often anymore. Came in for dinner with friend and her niece on a Saturday evening for dinner. Â When we walked in about 6:30, the place was pretty empty, but the owner (I am assuming) welcomed us with a warm welcome and greeting. Â The service was amazing the whole time and I wish more places had service like this. Ordered the app of cabbage rolls, which were nice and well stuffed with the perfect amount of seasoning. Â Then we ordered the gyros for dinner. Which were excellent and stuffed to the point of bursting. Â The meat was great and the flavors were excellent. The sauce was a more vinegar base and less cucumber, but was very good. When we paid, the owner gave my friends niece a Otter Pop, which was a nice touch since they were from his personal stash. When I'm craving a gyro plate this is my go to place in Peoria! The portions are HUGE and worth every penny. Most recently my husband and I shared a gyro plate and a side of hummus. Both of these orders come with pita bread (probably my favorite pita bread in the Peoria area so far). Portions are so big that we had some left overs as well! Needless to say, I will be back! Where in the falafel has falafel been all my life?! Is there a support group for recovering falafel addicts? I'm going to need one, but only after a formal intervention takes place. I'll deny I ever had a problem, and secretly order via Door Dash and have the driver meet me in an ally. So flavorful, and vegan?! I thought the chickpeas were some form of ground meat. I would give a 4.5 if possible, the only thing holding back Haddad's back is the atmosphere for dining in. But that doesn't bother me with my hip on-the-go millennial lifestyle. I have had the gyro and chicken kabaob and definitely recommend both. I had the Shish Kabab for lunch. Â Really good. Â I've been to Pita's and Kabab-G but this was my first time to Haddads and it is better than the other two restaurants. The meat was very tender and there was enough food for 2 people. The slight negative is that pita isn't as good as Pita's. Â The hummus is garlicky. Service was excellent. Food is of excellent quality and the owners always make you feel at home. Don't think I've had hummus from anywhere that's as good as the hummus here, and the gyros are yummy and the schwarma ( don't think I spelled that right lol) and so on and so on.
