GYMGUYZ helped this mama get into a bikini for the first vacation she'd had in years. The owner, James, was so professional and helpful when helping to put together a workout regiment that fit my schedule and body goals. He arrived to my home punctually without fail (even for the impossibly early time slots) and brought along all the equipment I would need. He wore his face mask at all times in keeping with today's COVID protocols. He was very personable and always encouraging. I would not have been motivated to workout as hard as I did without the assistance of GYMGUYZ. I met James when I was at the LA fitness gym with my son. He noticed my incorrect form on an exercise I was doing and kindly demonstrated a safer way that put less stress on my body. After talking with him more, I learned about his fitness services and signed up for in home training. I was just going to try it for a month, but he was really making a difference. With his guidance, I am so proud that I have completely strengthened my knees that had been injured from playing tennis. In three months, he helped me resolve what I had been just suffering through for several years now. I’m now doing full repetitive, deep squats. What inspired you to start your own business?
GYMGUYZ Chicago South Loop is led by James Patterson - a triathlete, runner, fitness enthusiast and NASM-certified personal trainer. After a long and rewarding career in marketing and advertising, Patterson launched GYMGUYZ Chicago South Loop to share his enthusiasm for fitness with his Chicago-area neighbors. We currently serve the South Loop, West Loop, Bronzeville, Hyde Park, Kenwood and surrounding neighborhoods and suburbs.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Our services can be delivered in person or online. When working in our clients' homes or other physical locations, our trainers are required to wear face masks. We have also instituted a "no touch" policy. GYMGUYZ always disinfects equipment according to CDC standards prior to an in-person training session, or loaning equipment to a client.

Spring Into Fitness Bootcamp
More than an ordinary bootcamp, Spring Into Fitness combines a traditional bootcamp format with circuit training. You’ll get a full body workout and an intro to challenging exercise modalities such as kettle bells, sandbags and plyometrics. Starts 4/3 for 8 weeks.
