The kitchen sink on an onion roll was very tasty. I thought the 1/3 lb of meat was just enough since I don't like sky high mounds of meat on my sandwich. I thought the cole slaw had too much mayo but tasted good and crunchy. The veggie bread and butter wasn't very good. I would skip it. Another reason for 4 stars instead of 5, the soda is sold in cans so no free refills. A lack of a soda fountain is a mystery to me considering how popular this place is with the locals. A fun, spontaneous lunch at Grumpy's left us very un-grumpy and extremely satisfied with our experience! Great atmosphere and wait staff, the food came out in record time even though the restaurant was full, and so so many vegan options! This place is always busy but the food is amazing! You must have the garbage salad, it's the best salad! The staff was very friendly made me feel welcome there was a wait for a table so we decided to sit at the bar . Definitely will be back!

Get the GARBAGE SALAD! Reading the ingredients I was skeptical but I have a rule when trying something new; try it as is first, then make my changes. I had to make ZERO changes and I put this place is on my "Me-Time" list after my first visit. Nice surprise! Everything was perfect! Hidden behind the Island Hotel. Did not feel "touristy", we ate outside and the family games area gave us something to do while waiting for our food. Food was delicious, recomend the spinach salad with apples,walnuts with sweet mustard dressing. We also ordered the sampler platter and it was outstanding, enough for two people. I eat at Grumpy’s 2-3 times a week and I absolutely love it. Vegetarian options, vegan options, and both heathy AND indulgent options. This restaurant is socially conscious (day no to the straw!) and it’s owned and run by women. If you want to be “good” get the regular sized garbage salad. Very filling, tasty and figure-friendly. If you want to splurge, I recommend the Mikey’s sandwich... oh I dream about the Mikeys. I had the veggie burger with potato salad. Super yummy! Perfect portions for lunch. The chipotle sauce on the burger was soooo good. Ended the meal with a vegan Chocolate chip cookie. Very impressed. Will return! It is a joy to watch them make and shape the burgers by hand then frying them on the grill. They do come out very good and always wanting for more.
