My husband and I booked Grounded NY for our August 2018 wedding after an absolutely delicious tasting. We did not opt to hire a wedding planner/coordinator, so I had the opportunity to work closely with Linda not only on food, but also figuring out rentals leading up to the big day. Linda was incredibly helpful during the planning stages as we crafted a menu and other minute details that were perfectly suited for us. The Grounded team was very professional. During our cocktail hour and reception they would frequently check in with us to make sure that my husband and I were also able to enjoy the food! Our guests, with a wide-range of preferences and dietary needs loved the food and the apple cider doughnuts we had for dessert were a hit! We recently had Grounded cater our wedding at Barn on the Pond and we couldn't have been happier with our choice! Linda is a true artist! Her food is gourmet and so special - really, a step above everyone else. When we did the wedding tasting with her, we knew we had found the right caterer. Our guests raved about the food at the wedding; it was one of the most memorable details of the day. The food was also plentiful! My friends told me that this was the first wedding where they didn't have to chase down the waiters for appetizers. The trays just kept coming! We really want to extend a special thank you to Linda's staff, who were all so professional, helpful and sweet. From working with us to perfect and serve our custom cocktails (thank you Mike!), to helping us set up the table with the designated place settings, they were all so kind to us and our guests. My family and I love this addition to our neighborhood! Croissants and quiche for a rich quick treat or frozen soups and chicken pot pies for those dinners you don't have time to make yourself! Just had the Chocolate Sky Cake with pear shaped marzipan, the pear helped balance out the richness of the cake.

Grounded just catered our wedding and it was such a pleasure to work with them. I cannot write enough great things about them. Linda and her team are so passionate about what they do and are such friendly and professional people. Grounded made two meals and our wedding cake. Everything was delicious and beautiful. Several guests had food sensitivities, so Linda quickly suggested ways to make the whole meal include them as well. The food options ranged from vegan, to vegetarian, to very carnivorous. Grounded.... Where you can relax, enjoy sunlight through the large windows as you sip your insanely delicious coffee and bite on the most warm and crispy croissant you've ever had. I would say that it ends there but that's just the beginning! Not only does Linda warmly take care of your appetite and rid your stress, but sometimes she will give you advice on how to cure your latest ailment. Whether it's putting some extra Tumerick in your meal or enjoying a ripe banana for your upset stomach, she will always be happy to help you and make you feel better. This small but powerful coffee shop is the perfect solution to so many questions. Do you need a caterer for a small event or a large wedding? This is it. My wedding was one year ago and we still have friends and family raving about the food that we had. We just recently enjoyed the wedding topper from our cake which Linda advised me to freeze properly and not only was it delicious, but it brought bake all those wonderful memories from that day. The love that she cooks and bakes and to all of her food is felt no matter what you're having. She is so passionate about everything she makes and she is a wonderful support to the happy employees that work for her. It seems more like a family than a business. If you've gotten this far--all I can say is BOOK GROUNDED!!! Linda and her crew made my wedding night. From day 1, Linda was unlike any caterer--she didn't push a menu or make suggestions we didn't want to hear--she asked us what our dream menu was and then brought it to life--and beyond. For weeks after our wedding, our friends and family texted us reminiscing about the food (raw bar, mini empanadas, salmon tar tar, homemade foccacia, grilled t bone steak, flaky miso cod, late night tacquitos!!! the list goes on and on). We met Linda at Grounded in August 2015. We instantly fell in love with her passion and excitement for creating beautiful, amazing cakes. During our tasting our mothers and ourselves were blown away by the flavors and how Linda's cake was simply spectacular.

Once we selected flavors and fillings the hard part for us was selecting a unique cake design. Linda was so understanding and kind. She helped create sketches and allowed us to pick custom paint colors to create the unique fondant we were looking for.

When we saw the wedding cake for the first time during our reception I was blown away by how much Linda had exceeded our expectations.. The flavor and quality of Linda's cake was the talk of the night and still now 2 weeks later. I have never been to a wedding were guests actually want 3rds and 4th of cake but our guests did. One guest actually described Linda's cake like edible gold!!

Linda at Grounded is a hidden treasure... I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for quality, unique, organic and just plain amazing wedding cake.

Linda's new cafe is awesome and we've been lucky enough to grab breakfast here several times while visiting the area. You really can't go wrong with any of the baked goods and the coffee is A++What I'm really here to write a review for though is the catering service Grounded provides. Linda catered our wedding over the summer and was essentially the glue that held it all together for us. From the get go, she was enthusiastic, helpful and patient, and put together a perfect menu that fit within our budget. The food was nothing short of spectacular, featuring grilled filet mignon, an incredible mushroom hazelnut loaf (greatest food discovery in years), gnocchi in brown butter and other tasty sides, and all of our guests seemed to agree. We almost did not request a wedding cake and we're pretty glad that we changed our mind about that. My God... possibly the best wedding cake that has ever been concocted. Between that and the small key lime tarts and peanut butter mousse, the dessert was completely ridiculous. And as great as all of the food was, the best part of having Grounded involved with our wedding was Linda and her staff. I was at wits' end by the time her crew arrived, due to typical wedding prep and the owners of the property doing one irritating thing after another, and Linda, like a zen master, essentially took control of everything, told us to relax and enjoy ourselves, and the next thing we knew, everything was fine and we had the best day of our lives. They were as professional as you can get, making sure to follow through on every little detail we had specified and getting each part of the meal out at the perfect time. The dinner service was flawless.I find that a majority of the time, wedding food is about as nondescript as you can get. We really feel so fortunate to have had such amazing food and such great people involved with ours, and it doesn't surprise me in the least to see all of the other positive reviews here. The true cafe is an expression of its neighborhood, open space to lounge, converse and hang. It is characterized by stellar coffee and amazing treats. If you're a really special cafe you provide excellent food. Linda is a very special owner, chef and caterer & she brings love to everything she makes in the cafe. The breakfast burrito fantastic, my son said its just a bunch of amazing flavors that explode in your mouth. Mr Huervos breakfast is something really worth checking out. They only work with the best coffee as well, amazing Latte's. See what I like about a great cafe is just hanging their and spending time in it; whether I am planning or writing; grounded has a bunch things that grab your eye and open your creativity. Linda and her staff are artists.  I feel inspired from the minute i walk in the door.  There are always a few gluten free options for those of us that are less fortunate!  But i still enjoy seeing all the gorgeous things they bake each day and smelling the sour dough bread baking in the back (they do a bread share!!!).  She always has decaf coffee, which i so appreciate and on top of that its actually very delicious decaf coffee which often the two dont go hand in hand.  The baked eggs are a favorite, as are the corn fritters, her soups, her salads oh my.  The space is serene, and has wifi!  Which we are always so desperate for up here.  Its a wonderful addition to the community and hopefully will inspire more just like it.  So grateful to have Grounded. I'm in Kingston enough on business I really needed a go-to place to get food I know I can eat and more importantly, should eat. Not that I have any dietary concerns, I just feel better eating clean foods without unnecessary additives. More energy, less upset tummies... You get it. For awhile I just went to Starbucks. But no more!First, the coffee at Grounded is really really good. So is the "day in Provence" iced tea blend. Baked goods are also good, and not overly sweet. Indeed, the cafe makes a great cup cake and donated these to a local museum. But I love the kale quinoa cake with toasted pumpkin seeds over a bed of mixed greens.
