What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
We would need to agree to the services needed and the compensation. We would also define the implementation schedule, communication details, and deadlines.
Describe your creative process.
I first start with a plan: client interview, gather data, and research the competition. Next, I create a mock up to discuss with the customer and review the marketing plan. Lastly, I deploy to bring the site online... then review the marketing data. Maintenance will be performed on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
I give all new customers questionnaires in order to establish their style and how best I can translate it to the site design, SEO, or social media strategy. I also ask for links to web sites that the customer finds appealing and examples of preferred color combinations.
What do you love most about your job?
I have been in technology for years and years, web design and development is the perfect marriage of my technical skill and background with my love of art and design.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working in corporate America for most of my career, the fact of working for myself and controlling my own destiny is very satisfying.
