If you're going to have brunch and like a set up buffet style and omelette station go to the grind in the back bar ok buffet omelette Good.

Our friends who recently moved to the area recommended The Grind to us and what a great recommendation it was! It was raining during our visit so the thought of going to a tiki bar was a little questionable. It actually was perfect . They have indoor seating but in the back is a very large mostly covered tiki hut and bar. They even have outdoor heaters! We sat at the tiki bar with a very attentive bar tender. I can't remember her name but she knew all of the regulars and treated us as one of them. We ordered a lamb burger, baby pork shanks and lettuce wraps. They were great! I haven't explored Ormond much, came here at the recommendation of someone from the area and loved it! Saturday night was poppin for this place. It's pretty large with an inside and very large outside seating area. The outside is the nicest in my opinion, they have a full bar, it's covered and in the winter, they have many heaters to warm up guests at tables. The food was delicious (hence the term Gastropub in the name). No one was disappointed with their food and there was 9 of us. On a Saturday night, the place was crowded but they have complimentary valet out back where you only have to tip. The only thing they need to improve on is the main walkway along the outside bar. It had rained earlier that day and that main walkway's wood has smoothed/eroded down so one of the older guests with us slipped, and we all felt how as we continued to our table. We like meeting up with friends to hang out at Kona Tiki Bar. The food is good, the service is good, and the atmosphere is interesting and fun. When the weather is pleasant, sitting outdoors at the high-top tables near the bar lets you get the full experience. The only drawback is if there are smokers nearby you have no shelter from it.I had the Lamburger with sweet potato fries and really enjoyed it. Their regular fries are crispy and not at all greasy. We LOVE the Grind! Always our go-to place for peanut butter chicken pizza (Johnny be Gouda) which is AMAZING! Ask for extra peanut butter sauce! Their brownies a la mode is enough to share 2 or 3 ways for $5! Staff is usually prompt and friendly. Sometimes they have live bands outside and/or karaoke inside. We've seen folks gather here from all ages 20s-70s. Inside is sort of a steampunk atmosphere while outside at the Kona Bar is more of a younger type atmosphere! We love this place! This is the second time we have come here for some special occasion. This was for my birthday and we had a pretty big group that they accommodated very easily. We were seated quickly and the waitress was there, ready to take orders.We got our drinks and she was ready for our food orders. The menu is full of wonderful selections. Fish, burgers, tacos, sangwiches, comfort foods, salads. I bit of everything. Our orders consisted of grouper, salmon, burgers, steak, tuna and a few other meals. Everybody's dinner was really good. Surprisingly, no one had a bad experience. The music was perfect. We sent up some requests and they were happy to play them. The whole night was allot of fun. My whole group had a really good time. They dances, sang and ate good food. I could not ask for a better birthday party or a place to hang out with friends or family. This is the BEST restaurant in Ormond Beach. This must be the 16th year I drive up from Miami for Turkey Rod Run and have to say if you're in Daytona for ANY reason. You must drive the extra 15 min to this place. Great food and drinks. Amazing quality. Met a friend here for dinner as it was the halfway point for us! The service was absolutely amazing. From the friendly and welcoming hostess to the server who checked in at just the right times. I had the white pizza, and it was so delicious. My friend had the poke bowl which looked phenomenal and she loved the amount of spice in it! We finished off the night with a brownie sundae which was the perfect end to the meal. The only thing I didn't like is we went late and some of the other patrons were a little too drunk.
