We built and purchased our DWH home in Denver, CO (Stapleton) in 2017. We have been nothing but overjoyed by the quality of their workmanship, service, and attention to detail.
During our design/build, DWH unfortunately went through some personnel changes. We ended up with three different builders through the 6-month build out. That said, each time our next builder was a consummate professional - with a hand off, overview, and completing their tasks.
My LOVE of DWH came after our 12-month warranty ended. As you can imagine, after 12-months in a house is truly when you start to know the house - you notice seasonal changes and also start to understand what issues/changes aren't seasonal. It was after the 12-month warranty we had a few issues with our insulation near our master bedroom. I asked our warranty rep for a few pointers (as I assumed being out of the warranty period we were out of luck), but they instead came out the next week to take a look. As it was a DWH oversight, they will be completing the repair at no cost to me.
It would be so much easier (and expected!) for DWH to say, well, the warranty time period is over. However, they stand by their work and are ready to make corrections. Not only that, but our lead warranty rep in Stapleton has been a pleasure to work with.
All home builders are different - but the long-term service is what really matters and quite frankly, is likely what makes you build new vs. buying an existing home. If you want someone to be a long-term partner in the health and life of your home, DWH is the builder for you.

We like our home. It took a little longer to build than we initially were told. Our builder was good but I think DW gave him too many projects, so at times, he was difficult to get a hold of.

My wife and I have recently put down earnest money on DW home in Kyle TX. While I’ve read many reviews regarding DW, many of the comments posted here concearn me.
Should we be worried? Everyone at DW has been terrific to work with so far.

We've had two David Weekley Homes in Jacksonville. The first one we built in 2000 and just sold never had any issues. With our new home we were able to select everything including cabinets, electrical, hardware, and paint - almost too many choices. They even moved a window to accommodate extra cabinets. Watching the care and "extras" that go into the home as it is built was fascinating. There was a lot of extra stuff they put on the roof and walls (sorry I'm not technical) and behind the scenes plumbing stuff that they said would avoid problems down the road. Great builder! We have been in our home for 8 years and have had no real issues.
They have helped with all the little things even when they are out of warranty.

Quality homes, knowledgeable sales team and impeccable personal customer service....if this is what you're searching for, look no more! We had been visiting relatives in Spring, TX about four years ago and decided to drop in to view several model homes in the area. We really had no intentions of rebuilding much less leaving California. The moment i entered these homes, I knew what I wanted. Now it was a matter of convincing my husband. That only took a week-end! We had the best reason to relocate; our two granddaughters were too far away from us! After visiting and talking in depth to several sales team members, we were more than impressed. Not to mention having and dealing with our personal construction manager, step by step on a daily basis, is never heard of with other home builders, but David Weekley Home Builder (selected home builder of the year) provides that personal feature for their customers. Talk about going above and beyond! We were able to call our personal sales team or construction manager on a moment's notice if we had any issues to discuss. Additionally, I did my research on several home builders in the area and selecting David Weekley, in my opinion, was a no-brainier. Responsive people. Builder allows some customization of their well thought out plans. Have a reasonable selection of design choices.
They also tend to have better understanding of plumb, level, and square than most builders. And with a little nudge to be extra careful on these issues for my clients, their construction superintendents usually deliver fine homes.
