Greg Lee & The Chuck Taylors was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! Like many, my husband and I were trying to determine where to allocate our budget based on what was most important to us. Having a band was high on the list. After receiving multiple quotes and listening to youtube video after video, we chose Greg Lee (who was very reasonably priced)! We exchanged a few emails, filled out his online form and chatted for about 10 minutes a few days before the wedding and he reassured me many times, "Don't worry about anything! We've got it and it will be a great time!". He was 1000% correct!I wanted a violinist to accompany him for our ceremony to play the "Greatest Showman Medley" by Lindsey Stirling. He brought along an long-time partner who offered to stick around for our cocktail-1/2-hour and stroll table to table. Literally it was as if the heavens opened as they started playing the song for our processional through my walk down the aisle! It was EVERYTHING I wanted! Our guests loved the violinist visiting their tables and mingling during the cocktail hour. Then on to dinner where we had a classy mix of Rat-Pack and 50's classics. He cued everyone just as we had scheduled-- no confusion, mics working perfectly, etc. Our dances were great! He cut down longer songs to keep them short as we had requested. Reception was awesome! Our guests were a mix of 30-60 year old's which are a bit more conservative so we weren't sure if there would be ANY dancing from the crowd, but The Chuck Taylors played (even through some of their breaks) to keep the hard-earned crowd energy & dancing going. They adapted their sets for what was keeping people going, threw in a few improv performances like my husband's Sinatra song (after he joked with Greg that he wanted to sing), a tribute to my former job with myself and a few of my coworkers, and a retirement celebration song for one of our other guests. EVERYONE was asking who the band was and several asked "how long have you guys known him?" because Greg made the experience so effortless and personal for us! The Chuck Taylors were the best part of our wedding!! After attending a wedding a few years ago where they played, we knew they had to be part of our big day. Greg was wonderful to work with – he was so relaxed throughout the planning process that it made us feel at ease about jumping into the wedding. During and after the wedding, we got so many complements from EVERYONE. They were definitely the talk of the wedding – which felt great! Greg and the band were also amazing with entertaining the few kids we had at the wedding, even giving my nephew a guitar pick (making a 3-year-old’s dream come true!). We wish we could give Greg Lee and the Chuck Taylors 6 stars! Greg Lee flawlessly executed our ceremony music and cocktail hour and then quickly turned around and put on an incredible performance for our reception! All we wanted for our wedding was everyone to have fun and dance all night; from the very first song to the very last song our dance floor was PACKED! Almost all of my guests came up to me and said this was the best wedding band they've ever seen/heard! One thing I really loved is that Greg would interact with the crowd! He would learn our guest's names out on the dance floor and shout out to them to. It made it very personable and they seemed to love it too - especially the best man, flower girl and ring bearer! It was the best night of our life and Greg Lee and the Chuck Taylors are a huge reason why. If they have availability for your date and you are considering a band, BOOK THEM NOW! Thanks Greg!!!! This band is INCREDIBLE - truly the best decision we made for our wedding reception. They were incredibly talented, professional, energetic, and got everyone on the dance floor. They really paid attention to the audience and played music that appealed to everyone. Literally all the guests were RAVING about how amazing they were. Greg Lee and The Chuck Taylors are awesome! Karen at i-Do Weddings told us they were amazing and she was so right. We had so many guests tell us that the band was amazing, even our super-cool, music-festival-going wedding party members! We loved their energy and their warmth. Seriously, Greg and company ooze kindness and warmth and it was a pleasure to have them as our emcees and musicians. We hired Greg Lee as our wedding DJ for our wedding in October. and he was absolutely fantastic. He played the piano and sang during dinner and blew us away with how great it was. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. We had Greg DJ our wedding at the Monastery Event Center on March 10th and it was one of the best decisions we made. Greg is beyond professional, unbelievably easy to work with, and is an absolute BLAST! He made the entire process fun and easy.
