Just stopped at Great Harvest on way to Las Vegas. I'm from Logan where we have an awesome Great Harvest. Huge mistake to stop! The potato/bacon soup was lukewarm, it was watery, and tasteless. I will not stop here again! Maybe you should come to Logan and see the difference! Logan is cheaper too! More...

Fresh baked bread and pastry's. You can't go wrong. If you enjoy baked goods as much as I do, there are no bad choices at Great Harvest.

Great food here. I've tried a few of the sandwiches, my favorite is the Thunderbid. The brownies and cinnamon rolls are also very good. My wife and I have joined their bread club...and have been members for 4 years. Every month you get your choice of any bread on their shelf. I love the Asiago uncut loaf, the garlic cheese uncut loaf. I wish we could get other ones we like uncut, since I am a great fan of Texas size slice which in England they call "door step" I love to air fry the thick slice of bread to make a delicious cheese toasty of with cheese, olives, tomato on the slice. Makes it a complete meal with a salad. Lovely!!! More...

Cool little spot with the Fresh Breds, but also morning coffee, sandwiches and soups.

I didn't try the food but it looked reasonably priced if the quality is good, like 5 bucks for a breakfast sandwich or $6-7 for the lunch stuff.

Coffee was decent. Farmer Bros. basic bitch stuff but they brew it properly at least. I make a point to mention this as it can be hard to find non-burnt coffee in these smaller Mormon cities. More...

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. We tried two sandwiches here.
The first one was the chicken salad sandwich. It was very very good. Chicken salad sandwiches are one of my favorites so i can be picky. I loved the chicken salad sandwich there. Definitely worth it and I was very happy about that.
The second sandwich was the applewood bacon grilled cheese. That was also a great sandwich. The chili pepper relish/jam on there was excellent. They need to sell that stuff by the bottle.
We will definitely be coming back here. More...

They've reopened with new management on the last year and they're doing well! Friendly and clean, they have a great selection. A little cramped in there though. Huge disappointment. I have been to Great Harvest in a few other cities and this was my first (and last) visit here. I ordered a veggie sandwich. There was a half of piece of lettuce, some carrot shreds, two slices of cucumber, two silvers of red onion and two piece of tomato. The center had all the veggies and the rest was just bread, for $7. No pickle and chips like other locations included with the sandwich, no cheese, and so skimpy on veggies I am still hungry after a whole sandwich. There are too many other vegetarian options to come back here. I love going here when I am visiting, having a sandwich, and taking home some great bread. But today was a whole different story.

When we got there, there was what I thought were three employees. We were greeted and I asked for a cinnamon roll and two coffees. While I was paying, they discussed the great lyrics of the rap song that was being played in the store. Apparently the choice of music station for the day. I went to get the coffees (serve yourself) and the pump had enough for one coffee. I was told there was cream in the cooler, but that was empty. The employee brought out a new carton of cream. Then took my other coffee cup to the back while she made a new pot. Meanwhile, what I thought was the 3rd employee must've just been a friend visiting. The floor in the place was filthy. I really wanted to grab a broom and clean it for the two employees who were gabbing in the back. The girl did bring out our other coffee, but since she never refilled the coffee dispenser, we couldn't top it off. We just left.

I have to say this is not the norm for this place. It is generally clean and tidy and employees are falling over themselves to accommodate the customer. And the music played is generally nice for everyone.

Hopefully next time it will be what I am accustomed to. More...

Love GH breads, in general. I have a little issue with this location... They leave the brownies, cookies, bars and cinnamon rolls sitting out in the open -- right on the counter next to where customers are coming, going, coughing, sneezing; drying out and flies landing on them. I'd really like to see them address this issue -- I can't imagine this meets Health Code standards. They need to put these items in an enclosed case where they are free of germs and can stay fresh. And though I realize they can't prevent flies from entering the premises, it would be nice if they made some attempt to control them -- even inconspicuous fly paper. It's just gross.
Having employees wear gloves when serving these items (and taking them off before touching other surfaces), or even using hand sanitizer would be great, too. When you walk in and ask for a brownie (for example), you don't know if the person serving you has just been sweeping the floors or handling money. Many customers notice these things. More...

I discovered this on my last day in Cedar City (unfortunately!), so, I bought everything in the store plus had a meal there. I had a broccoli soup that was very good, and came with a piece of WONDERFUL seed/grain bread. SO GOOD. My friend had a sandwich, which she said was also good.

Earlier in the day, I stopped in and bought a brownie. OMG - sooooo good. First of all, it was very cheap, and second - it was SO big - a nice, generous portion of brownie. It was really yummy. I also bought a loaf of the grain, seed bread. The price was so cheap - about half of what I would pay for the same bread at, like, a Whole Foods-type store. It was so fresh and good.

The girl working behind the counter was super nice and accommodating. I really enjoyed this place, and am sorry that I found it on my last day in Cedar City.

The inside is very clean and neat and well-kept. All good. I understand that this is a chain that's in Utah; but, this was the only one I could find.

I reserve 5 stars for restaurants that are strictly vegetarian or vegan, but I'm making an exception for this place; I loved everything about it. First time I went it was great service and great food. Last time was terrible. I ordered sandwich and they asked if I wanted it toasted. I said yes. It was squashed in a panini press and was flat and doughy. Minimal meat on the sandwich. It did not taste good. I complained about the sandwich not being toasted but they did not care just said that is how they do it. My son's cheese sandwich had a funny taste and he would not eat it. My wife's lunch was good, but she had to ask twice for the bread that comes with the soup. Complete opposite from first trip. Looked like college kids working there that did not care. We will not go back because we don't know if we will get the good lunch (which we loved) or the bad lunch with bad service. Holy cow. Super friendly gals, GENEROUS sample sizes, and fantastic cookies. Right in downtown Cedar City, this bakery serves up homemade breads, cookies, and granola/energy bars along with a good assortment of spreads and other yummies. We walked over from our B&B and were struck by this carbohydrate cocoon.

The gal behind the counter immediately talked us through the shop and offered samples of whatever we wanted (I tried a slice -- not piece! -- of the pumpkin spice bread and hubby got a slice of the asiago sourdough lathered in butter). The cookies were calling my name, so I gave into their siren call and got one of their pink frosted sugar cookies.

We got one huge asiago sourdough loaf, one sugar cookie, and a trail bar (the bakery's version of a healthy granola bar). Pretty good value, I think, especially for the loaf of bread, which costs about $4.50. Everything is fresh and yummy. Go! Every year, my boyfriend and I visit his mother and spend Christmas with her and for 5 days, I get to enjoy big slices of heaven for breakfast. It's a good thing the closes Great Harvest Bread Company near me is 33 miles away in a direction that I never go to because then my waist size would increase tremendously.
