Emily, the owner and founder of Great Basin Accounting, grew up in rural northern California. Ever since she took her first business class in high school, she knew she wanted to own her own business one day. After high school, Emily worked full-time for various professional businesses, while pursuing her accounting degree at night. Getting her initial start in government as an Accounting Specialist, Emily navigated her way up to the top Budget and Accounting Manager position for Nevada's Judicial Branch.

Never forgetting her goal of being a business owner, Emily eventually transitioned into a public accounting firm where she gained the experience for Certified Public Accounting (CPA) licensure. Her goal was finally realized by establishing Great Basin Accounting in 2019.

Emily holds a Masters of Science Degree in Accounting from Western Governors University, and her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business, with a concentration in Accounting from University of Phoenix.
