Tonight was out first experience at Granita, and it won't be our last. We loved the atmosphere and had great service. Wine, entrees and dessert were all on point.

My husband and I just had our fourth visit to Granita last night for NYE and once again we were blown away by the sophisticated and thoughtful cuisine, cocktail and wine list, and the impeccable service. We drive 45 min to go to this place because it's the best restaurant around, hands down. It's amazing to have a restaurant of this caliber within driving distance that one might otherwise only find in NYC. Granita has a menu with uniquely spectacular dishes that become unforgettable. The Miishalon cocktail uses the amazing and flavorful brine that makes this the smoothest and tastiest dirty martini I've ever had. Their homemade pastas have the most wonderful texture and hit all the notes. Every dish's ingredients sings with bright, fresh flavors, and every dish is dynamic with interesting combinations, making eating an experience of sheer discovery and pleasure. We're so impressed by what Chef Andres Joaquin is creating, in addition to being also being a kind, generous and graceful host. With their open kitchen, and the perfect timing of each course, he seems to run his kitchen with precision and grace. We also appreciate how he has taken the time to hand-deliver dishes to tables, checking in with guests. It's so refreshing to witness such a talented, innovative chef with such modesty. Our server, Lauren, the manager, and staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with our questions. Granita is truly doing something that no one else around its region is doing- I applaud them in having the the guts to do so- creating delightful dishes with a contemporary twist combining flavors in new ways that become unforgettable.
