My husband and I had a great dinner here with another couple on Friday night. My husband and I each ordered the Five S Warm Bowl. Since I eat plant-based, I ordered mine without cheese and substituted with the Lemon Turmeric dressing. It was delicious! (There is an option to add spicy tofu also, but they were out of it.) My husband and I are healthy eaters and tried this place two nights in a row to decide whether we'd be interested in their meal prep service. We ordered takeout salads one night and the 5S bowls the another. The salad was small but flavorful. They provide a side of chips and hummus, but again it was a pretty small portion. The second night we tried The 5S with chicken was and it was absolutely delicious. We like to get FULL, and this dish was totally satisfying with its medley of sweet and savory. Wonderful service and food! I love having a healthy dining option in Cypress!Update! Recently visited again and it was another wonderful experience! This time I snagged some pics too!We were promptly seated and asked which beverages we would like. Kiddos opted for lemonade. I opted for the happy hour, Cabernet. Very good...could almost pass for a Malbec.Not soon after the apps arrived. The inhouse hummus was sooooo yummy...with the perfect hint of lemon.The tomato basil wrapped eggplant was very refreshing...kiddos declined to try. The empanadas...we all gobbled them up! Barely got a pic! Our entrees arrived promptly...soooo thankful with rugrats in tow! The boys got their grass fed burgers and my littlest decided on mac and cheese. It must have been pretty amazing, because their plates were pretty much cleaned! My steak was cooked JUST the way I like it! Wife and I went with our three kids aged 5-10. I had an impossible burger(darn good) wife had a gourmandwich (Also good) kids are kind of basic so they all had chicken tenders. The menu is amazing and we cant wait to go back and try other dishes. However the staff really set this place apart. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the entire menu and their affinity for locally sourced items he treated the kids as important as the adults. It was a little slow so one of the buss people played tic tac toe with our five year old and put a big smile on her face, and then one of the owners came by and spent a few minutes talking about how they like to change up their menu occasionally to keep the dishes fresh and new. If I could give this place MORE STARS I WOULD... great food but better service. Takes the whole experience to another level. Will definitely be making this one of our regular trusted places after coming 3 times this week. Pasta night on Tuesday $12 each steak night; and dinner /drinks with friends on Friday. Went there the first time Friday night.  Really enjoyed our meal.  We ordered the empanadas which were extremely good and served hot!  The pork chop was cooked perfectly.  Our waiter was super nice and informative.  He brought out the owner, Patrick,  to speak with us as well. This restaurant is amazing.  The chef is attentive to individual needs and the wait staff is excellent. It currently is not overcrowded which is a huge plus. Went to Gourmand Kitchen last night for din din. Holy jesus. To start with, we went a little after they had opened and weren't too impressed. It was okay but nothing was seasoned to our liking and it felt kinda stiff. This is not the same place we went to. I had the Waygu jalapeno burger with roasted 3 cheese cauliflower and my wife had the seed crousted chicken. Both were phenomenal. I'm a bit of a burger connoisseur...and this one may have topped all others. The meat was AHMAZING. A 14 dollar burger plate that tasted like it could have been MUCH more expensive. This place is almost indescribable in words. I am a foodie and have eaten many places and this is, hands down, top three food I have eaten anywhere. That includes Italy. I love the fresh and healthy options and they give you a lot of good, not just a smear of food on a plate with a fancy flower. I wanna eat, not frame my food. We arrived about 35 minutes before closing, but weren't hurried at all. The quinoa bowl with salmon was so good I wanted to lick my plate. Hubby had shrimp and grits and loved it as well. When we went in, we thought it was a casual health restaurant.  The menu was fairly complex and attractive.  We ordered the Impossible burger, salmon, and shrimp and grits with some Brussel sprouts. This is another place that I had the opportunity of checking off of my collections list. I tried coming here about a year ago for Mother's Day and it was so packed we had to leave and go somewhere else.  Fortunately I came here for brunch and it was completely empty.  They have bottomless mimosas for $12 but didn't want to go and get drunk today... not a good way to start the week off tomorrow.   I ordered their BLTA sandwich with fries.  Super good and the pesto sauce saved the entire sandwich.  The chicken was dry and tasteless but the pesto sauce on the sandwich added that extra kick it needed. The chabata bread was also crispy and toasted to perfection.  Typically not a fan of thick cut fries but they were pretty good and crispy... they don't have much of a beer selection but if you're a wine person ...would recommend this place! Great family-friendly, casual dining experience with great food and service. The jalapeño burger was cooked to a perfect medium and the pretzel bun was a unique and tasty addition. The vegetable tower was a variety of tasty and well seasoned and cooked mushrooms, eggplants and chicken with a zesty red sauce. The wine and beer menu is adequate with nightly specials too.
