Their meats are amazing! The flavor and way they are cooked is great! The sides could use some improvements. The Mac n' cheese is a little bland and the cole slaw is basically dry cabbage in a cup. I wish they would spend some time rethinking the sides as their entrees are fantastic! More...

So I was highly impressed by Good Smoke BBQ. Upon arriving it looks quite small, with its humble appearance. But good things certainly do come in small packages. I got the half chicken and it is certainly well priced and worth it. The chicken was cooked perfectly. It was juicy with the perfect amount of smoke and seasoning. Love barbecue but don't have time to sit down at Dinosaur or Sticky Lips? Live in East Rochester or Fairport and just don't want to make the drive elsewhere? Lucky you! Good Smoke is delicious, fast, and nearby! The brisketzilla (and therefore the brisket) is one of the best I've had - tender, but substantial, and good on its own or with additional sauce. The sandwiches are fairly priced, and come with a side and cornbread. The wings are a little pricey for how many you get, but you won't be disappointed if you make the investment. Well I had a hankering for ribs. Â We got there and ended up dining in. Â I warn you that on hot days this is not a good choice. Â It was extremely hot. Â We ordered our food and two of us got ribs. Â It came out just when we began to worry. Â My friend who ordered a burger first had to wait another 10-minutes. If I could give this place 20 stars I would. I have had Good Smoke BBQ to go with the family countless times, we have all always loved everything we ordered. Portions are very generous, everything tastes homemade. Recently threw my parents a surprise bday party (140ish guests). I originally decided to use wegmans based on convenience but wasn't happy with the cost per serving size and overall quality of sides. I really struggled to find a place known for great sides (picnic style). About 3-4 days before the even I called Good Smoke Catering and had the pleasure of working with Tammy Smith. She is absolutely phenomenal. She gave me tips on how much to order based on how many guests I had coming (serving sizes are huge there- she was soooo right! If I would have ordered based on how many people I actually had coming we would have been buried). So different from everywhere else I called. Every other place I called was stressing me out that if I only went with the serving size for the amount of people I have coming I'll most likely run out of food. Prices per serving size are sooo reasonable for sides it was only $2 per person (but remember the servings are huge so you won't need as much as you think) So in the end I cancelled the sides at my other caterer (We did subs from wegmans for the main) If I were to do this again I would 100% just have Good Smoke cater the whole thing. Actually the best bbq I've had in Rochester (comparing to Dino and Sticky lips). I got a pulled pork sandwich and a side of Mac and cheese and it came with cornbread. The bbq sauce on the meat was so good! The meat was very tender and they definitely didn't skimp on the meat. The bun was also delicious. Only thing I would've changed would've been more flavor to the coleslaw - it wasn't really dressed at all, more so just like cabbage on top of the meat. The macaroni and cheese was very good too! Different shaped noodles and yummy thick cheese sauce. And the cornbread was THE BEST. Not dry at all and very sweet. I'll definitely be going back. More...

Really wanted to give this a 3.5 (no halfsies here) - and am only giving it a 4 for the service (they made it right)...Visited Good Smoke in Chili a couple weeks ago. Â We've done take out here before and it's not bad. Â We decided to "dine in" this time and placed our order. Â Here's what happened:- Waited about 30 mins for our order. Â It wasn't busy so... Â went to the counter. Â They claimed that there was a take out order exactly like ours (really?) and they gave it to the take out by mistake. Â - No problem, we're making you a new order now (ok, what happened to the takeout order?)- Bring an order to the table. Â We ordered the 2 meat combo with Brisket, Chicken and 2 sides. Â On the plate they brought - ONLY the brisket was the right item (had pulled pork instead of chicken and 2 wrong sides). Hmmm.. I'm thinking THIS was the take out order lol.- Took it back up to the counter. Â Manager apologized again and said he's making your dinner now.- We FINALLY got the correct meal (after about 50-60 minutes). Â Food was ok. Â Chicken was definitely overcooked. Â The brisket was ok.Sides ok as well.The manager did come over and comp our entire meal and told us to take the "wrong" order home.I'm hoping we just caught them on an off day. Was in town for 1 night so ventured out to try BBQ. I got the 3 meat platter - ribs, pulled pork, and 1/2 chicken. The pulled pork was decent, the ribs were too dry and tough (I also wasn't a fan of the rub), but the BBQ 1/2 chicken was HEAVEN. So moist, and the skin was nice and crispy with a delicious BBQ sauce slathered all over it. Seriously, I want to take that BBQ sauce home. For sides I got mashed potatoes, corn, potato salad, slaw, and cornbread. The highlights were definitely the potato salad and the cornbread. I wasn't too crazy about the mashed, corn, or slaw. I did appreciate that their slaw isn't slathered in mayo. I'll definitely be back next time I'm up here for that chicken and potato salad! More...

One of the better places in Rochester for BBQ. Never been disappointed with my selections and the one I often order is the three meat combo. There are variety of sauces on the table but the different meat options are flavored well on their own. The combo also comes with two sides and a corn bread which is hands down the best cornbread I've had. Most are gritty but this one is moist and cake like! Best BBQ in the area.Been here several times and have always been satisfied.A great place for any barbeque meats.Delicious side dishes. Today I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw.Baked beans and cornbread.There is seating for about 26 people in a very casual atmosphere.Order and pay at the counter and they deliver to the table.Next time I visit I will try the "crispy" ribs appetizer and monk balls if I have a friend who will share.If you love good BBQ this is the place! This place is amazing. I've had the Moink Balls, the Pulled Pork Eggrolls, the Brisketzilla, and some other meats. Literally everything I had was incredible. The brisket is moist and full of flavor. The pulled pork eggrolls are juicy and could easily be a meal on their own (they are an app). The service is fast and friendly. The prices are very reasonable for the both the quantity AND quality of the food. The brisket sandwich was $14 (I think) and a meat platter puts you in the $18-20 range. Seriously worth every penny. The sides offered are good and diverse as well. Get the cheesy tater tots. They offer a range of 6 delicious sauces to coat your BBQ with if desired. The only negative thing I can think of is their parking lot is relatively small. I have a truck and it was difficult to navigate. But seriously, who cares. Go here. Go here no More...
