How long have you been in business?
I've been a housekeeper for 5 years and an Independent Housekeeper for 6 months. It was time to venture out on my own and create Golden Touch!
Do you bring your own equipment and supplies?
Yes I do! You don't need to worry about providing a thing (unless of course you prefer to).
What do you love most about your job?
I love that it is one of the most fulfilling jobs I've ever had. I really feel as though I'm making a difference in people's lives, like a hard-working single mom who doesn't have the time, an elderly couple who needs a hand in their retirement years, those with illnesses who physically can't do the work, or two hardworking parents with a big family to support. Whatever the situation, there is no greater feeling than getting to hear or see the appreciation from my customers for helping keep their home immaculately clean, safe, and a place they can finally relax.
What inspired you to start your own business?
There is no doubt I learned so much working for other cleaning businesses, helping me truly become a guru at what I do. However, there was still changes that I thought should be made. So, I decided the best way to make a change is to do it myself and Golden Touch is where it all started. The companies I worked for forgot that people aren't paychecks, they were money hungry and wanted to cram so many houses in one day to be done. It was unfair to the housekeeper and the customer. I wouldn't leave until the work the customer paid for was done (my philosophy: no corners cut, no matter what) so my days would run so long, pushing back the next customer's time that they had a set schedule for. Now, I have control over my schedule and your home is my priority without worrying about rushing to the next.

For weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly services, maintenance cleanings include:

• Perimeter of ceilings / bottom of cabinets (cobwebs)
• Blinds, windowsills, & lock ledges
• Moldings & woodwork
• Baseboards
• Lamps & lampshades
• Pictures & knick-knacks
• Furniture / under beds (wood polished)
• Top of refrigerator
• Stair railings & spindles (disinfected / dusted)
Washed / Scrubbed & Wiped / Disinfected / Sanitized -
• Outside of appliances
• Stovetop & drip pans
• Counter tops & backsplashes
• All sinks
• Mirrors
• Tub/shower & tiles
• All bathroom counters & fixtures
• Wastebaskets (emptied/washed/relined)
• Beds made, sheets changed if provided
• Stairs (vacuumed or dusted, washed)
• Floors (vacuumed &/ or mopped)
Organized / Vacuumed / Displayed -
• Couch cushions, throw pillows, and blankets
• Magazines, books, night stands, and end tables
Deep 1st time cleans
Initial cleanings include:
Vacuumed / Hand wiped & washed / Sanitized -
• Ceiling fan blades within 2-step ladder height
• Light fixtures within 2-step ladder height
• Perimeter of ceilings (high dusted)
• Blinds & shutters
• Moldings & woodwork, windowsills
• Baseboards (without moving furniture)
• Pictures & knick-knacks
• Uncluttered shelves
• Furniture (all sides / dusted underneath)
• Couch cushions, throw pillows, and blankets
• Top of refrigerator
• Outside of appliances
• Inside microwave
• Inside oven
• Inside fridge
• All cabinet fronts
• Vacant homes: drawers, empty shelves, inside cabinets, pantries swept out, and closets vacuumed.
• All doors & door frames
• Light switch plates
• Counter tops & backsplashes
• All sinks
• Mirrors
• Tub/shower/tiles: Scrubbed to keep up with maintenance cleanings.
• All bathroom counters & fixtures
• Beds made, sheets changed if provided
• Stairs (vacuumed &/ or washed)
• Floors (vacuumed or scrubbed & mopped)
End of Tenancy cleaning
**Same as Deep 1st time cleaning**
Only difference is:
