Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Finances is the heart of your business. It is so extremely important to not only know your numbers (your businesses finances) but to understand them. If you don't know your numbers, you're making your business decisions in the dark. It's like you're walking in a dark room and you keep bumping into things that causes you pain and bruising. A great accountant will be the one to turn on the lights in the room.
What do you love most about your job?
We love helping small businesses. The most rewarding part is when a client has a fresh new determination and motivation in their business. When we first meet with a client and their books are a mess, they don't really understand them, they're tired and don't even want to look or think about their business financials. But after we explained everything, cleaned up their books, gave them financial training, it's like watching a person transform in front of our eyes. We explain business finances in terms that they understand.
