Great place for shopping for all the clothes the family might need and all at very reasonable prices indeed. The store is well laid out with good lighting enabling you to see the goods on display clearly. The shop is located inside the Foyleside Shopping Centre and there are two floors with the boy'and gent's clothing on the lower floor. The fitting rooms are clearly displayed and large enough. Dunnes also sell some household items in different parts of the shop but there are difficult to catergorise, so just have a browse through them while you are there. Four chefs (who have "day jobs" during the week) have reinvented a previously-closed "arcade cafe" into a space where they showcase a rotating international menu every Friday and Saturday evening. What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing that families are relieved knowing their loved one is well taken care of and can simply be the daughter, son, or family member instead of the caregiver. The best part of my job is being able to orchestrate the complex pieces of bringing in the proper caregiver, and matching them with the appropriate family. It brings me so much joy to see how much families benefit from even just a few hours a week of care (even though we also offer up to full time care as well).
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always cherished taking care of elderly people. My grandma was 91 when she passed away and I spent over 7 years with her up until her last days. My experience with hiring caregivers on behalf of my Grandma in the past were unsatisfactory, a hassle, and challenging. I wanted to make the experience a much better one for all families in need of the in home care services. I Founded Golden Age Companions on the principles of ethics, integrity, and a implementing a hands-on personal experience.
