This physical therapy team has been my lifeline since my total hip replacement surgery. I am forever indebted to my neighbor who recommended them to me! From my very first appt, I knew I was in the right place. They are truly a group of caring and competent professionals. I had a post surgery complication early on that slowed my progress somewhat but the team kept encouraging me. They are always asking you how you are feeling and what are your obstacles and then they sit back and LISTEN! What a breath of fresh air, not always common in the fast paced medical world. I would highly recommend Gold Medal Physical Therapy for those needing this service. The therapists are very professional and explain the biomechanics of your treatment plan. They assess your progress and make adjustments as needed based on your symptoms. Also, this facility has separate rooms for each patient making it more conducive to private conversations about your healthcare and treating areas on your body that may need massage. From the minute I got off the elevator and walked into the Gold Medal facility in Nottingham I knew I was in the right place. I am a registered nurse who has worked for many years with physical therapists so those reading this review can rest assured that I came to this facility with a critical eye. I was immediately struck by the brightness and cleanliness of the facility. I believe one would be hard pressed to find a more caring, competent, and congenial group of men and women. Brandy, the receptionist at the front desk immediate alleviated any anxieties I was experiencing with her warm smile and gentle manner. Chad, the facility's physical therapist, also greeted me. We went into an exam room (that was equally bright and clean) where he assessed my physical status and needs. He also took the time to ask the goals I hoped to achieve by the end of my therapy sessions and developed a plan to enable me to meet these goals. As I continued my visits, Chad made on-going assessments of my physical abilities and revised my plan of care so I'd be performing at a pace that was challenging AND possible to achieve. And he gave me the encouragement I needed when he knew I could do something I wasn't so sure of myself. Each visit began with Chad or one of the facility's PT assistants (Tim and Joe) gently preparing the muscles in and around my knee so I would be able to perform the exercises that were part of my plan with as much flexibility and with as little discomfort as possible. And they always took the time to answer any and all questions I had using words and terms I would understand. The PT techs were also awesome. They followed the plan of care established by Chad, made sure the equipment I used was in working order, and ensured I was doing my exercises correctly. They got to know my interests and eagerly engaged me in conversations that made my gym time pass quickly. The facility's billing administrator (Jackie) was also equally as friendly and helpful as were the other staff members. When I had an issue with my insurance carrier, she readily jumped in, ensuring this issue was resolved quickly and completely. Everyone working at this facility saw me at my worst—both physically and mentally. They provided compassion and encouragement when every bone, muscle, and tendon in my knee was yelling at me to stop. And they assured me that my progress was right on track. But perhaps, most importantly, they believed in me when I was having difficult believing in myself. This staff worked tirelessly to get me where I am today. Every time I walk up and down the steps, stoop to get something off the floor, or dance like no one is watching, I thank them. I would highly recommend Gold Medal for physical therapy. The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. Unlike other therapy places they try very hard to accommodate the schedule you need. The physical therapists are very organized and specific about treatment. They are good about explaining why you are doing each activity or machine. I really liked that I was taken on time and could rely on being finished in a timely manner. It is a very clean, well run organization. All of the technicians were very helpful guiding me thru activities insuring that I was doing things correctly. If I ever need physical therapy again I would definitely go back to Gold Medal. I honestly do not have a single bad thing to say about this place. From the back office to the front desk, physical therapists and techs. .. everyone there is top notch and really cares. They take care of all the insurance red tape and make sure you are informed the whole way through. I've been going there for almost 2 years off and on for different issues.. I've done PT, dry needling, cupping and a few other techniques to help ease my chronic pain. Everyone I have worked with there has been nothing short of courteous, professional and incredibly caring. I even referred my husband to them recently and they have helped him tremendously. I called them to see if they could take care of my him because he was in excruciating pain from a sudden injury. Everyone is so great here. I always feel very welcomed and my therapy sessions are thorough and professional. I mainly see Chad, who is wonderful and always takes time to listen and explain things/answer all my questions, but really all the therapists and assistants have been awesome and very friendly. I’ve been coming here for just about a month and my symptoms have improved so much. I really appreciate the home-friendly exercises they give me to do and the help with finding which ones work best for me. I’m glad to be feeling better, but I’ll be sad to leave when the time comes! Of course I must disclose my bias as the founder...that said, as a patient (MANY times the past 8 years since a serious MVA f/b neck fusion surgery and long term nerve damage), I can say first had that these dedicated professionals are among the best in their field (their advanced education and specialty certifications substantiate this), but more importantly, that care about the people they care for!

If anyone is ever looking for a good physical therapist in Harford County, Gold Medal Physical Therapy is awesome! I've been going there on and off since 2011 for my neck and back. Pre and post neck surgery and while pregnant. I'm currently in my third trimester of my second pregnancy and the past two weeks have been particularly trying for me. Having ongoing neck issues, or any health issue, can be very frustrating especially when having others to take care of. So, I find comfort in knowing there are good people nearby to help. The staff is skilled, professional, incredibly nice and even treat my one year old son like gold. They're so sweet to him, he actually gets excited when we walk in the door. I recommend Gold Medal PT to everyone. After Breaking my foot in the spring , I needed months of rehab on my entire leg and I also needed to learn how to actually walk again! All the PT’s, especially Jill were so knowledgeable and really helped me fully recover

I'm a pretty fit guy, I do yoga, rock climb and slackline but through these activities I was experiencing some low back pain and knew that I didn't need therapy however, I knew I needed to do something to seek relief. As a tech I have seen the compassion and level of care offered by the therapists here and decided to sign up for a tune up package. This is just a direct pay option where I don't need to go to the doctor nor do I need to get the runaround with insurance I can simply schedule, pay and get seen. After the initial evaluation with my therapist Chad Blomquist I had some relief from my pain and was given stretches to try to help in addition to these tune ups and it was mentioned that while I had not signed up for dry needling that it may benefit me and for the second of three tuneups I received a free trial of dry needling. I can only describe it as near instantaneous relief, within 5 seconds, no exaggeration, my lingering pain/discomfort/tightness was reduced by easily 90%. I have yet to schedule my final of three tuneups that I purchased however, I can say from the needling and stretches I was given that I am well on my way to getting back to the things that I love to do at the level I would like to do them at. Physical Therapy was my highly recommended from my doctor. So I decided go to Gold Medal because of closer location. I love it there because all the staff are very friendly and caring people. I went to that PT for my neck, shoulder & elbow pain. I left feeling better each day. They showed you many different exercises to help loose up my muscles in my neck, shoulder, & elbow. I started going here back in September for a pinched nerve. This place and the people who work there are awesome. My primary PT was Chad and I couldn't have asked for a better PT than him. He kept my spirits high when I was feeling down like I would never get better. He was very patient. Not only did he show me the exercises to get better, but he taught me about why I was having the pain and what may be causing it (like tight muscles around the area that you wouldn't think would cause the pain).

As I was finishing up on the pinched nerve, I started developing shoulder pain and stayed in PT until mid-January. Chad made the transition between treating the pinched nerve to the shoulder pain seemless. Even tho I've been discharged, I still use many of the stretches and exercises Chad showed me in my workout routine. Chad's the man and I owe a lot to him.

5 STARS! This is my third time using GMPT and I couldn't be happier with the treatment that I have received. Everyone from the front desk ladies Lauren and Brandie always greeting me with a smile and answering any questions I have about scheduling or insurance. The techs are great also. Molly and Dan are always there to assist in setting up equipment or showing me the correct way to do a specific exercise. Main reason I keep coming back is Sarah. I have had surgery on my knees three times within the past five years. She is great to work with, she pushes me to my absolute limit. Every time I go to therapy she has a new set of exercises for me to do to change things up. I am never just going through the motions when I am there.
