Go Cakes is located on Huntington. There is plenty of street parking. I stopped by shortly after they opened and they were sold out of the go puffy cakes for the day. I was a little disappointed but I kept seeing their cakes on IG. A few months later, I finally had the time to stop by again! The store is only opened on Saturdays and Sundays. I love the design and decor! The wall with colorful fabric pieces is so unique and fun! The Ratchet Snack exhibition was super cool! Go Puffy Cake * 3 layers of perfection in every bite Top: Caramel Center: Cream BrûléeBottom: Fluffy Cheesecake  The textures and flavors complement each other so well. It is not overly sweet so every bite is just as good as the last one. Overall, this is a really cute spot! They make a few desserts (macaroons, cakes, cake pops, cookies etc.) and beautiful custom cakes. They also offer workshops for latte art and pour overs. I'm adding Go Cakes to my list for future celebrations and events! Life is always BATTER with CAKE! More...

I typically don't like macarons, not even from well established bakeries that are known to produce high quality and popular macarons, but Go Cakes has changed my perspective on macarons! The "cookie" part of it is firm and has texture more like a fresh cookie compared to other macarons out there. Also the "filling" part is super tasty (and not overly sweet) and it actually tastes like the flavor it says it is. Some of my favorites are the Matcha and the Citrus flavor maracon but I just found out this past weekend that they are doing seasonal fall flavors and those are amazing as well! Either way, you can't go wrong with any of the flavors and they're like Pokemon, gotta try them all! More...

As a coffee lover, I always wondered how the flowers and hearts were made on that little cup of latte. After some googling, I came across a latte art class that is hosted by Go cakes. The latte art class was hosted by Go cakes and taught by Denis Chen. Overall, Go cakes is a superb host that offers not only the most beautiful setting (very ig worthy) for a class, but they also feed you with the yummiest cupcakes and macaroons. The owner was also super nice, she took pictures of us during the class and sent them to us afterwards. Denis was very knowledgeable and approachable, and the class is very beginner-friendly.I can't wait for Go cakes to offer more classes. I would definitely sign up for their classes again!!! More...

We ordered a two tier custom cake and 70 cake pops from Stephanie for my son's 100 days dinner. Literally THE BEST experience! Stephanie created the cutest cake and helped me pin point the design I wanted. Everyone loved the flavors we chose (passion fruit mango and chocolate) and the cake pop flavors (vanilla and chocolate) were really good too! We got to pick up a tasting of the cake flavors beforehand and they were all delicious and so cute how it was presented! If you want to do a tasting on a weekday, you will need to pick up since they aren't open to the public. But they are open on the weekend. I also tried her go puffy cakes and they are to die for!!! Sooo good! And her mocha cake..so good too!!Great service and delivery of the cakes as well. She even brought her cake pop stands in case I wanted to use them. So thoughtful! We will definitely be ordering cakes from her in the future! And meanwhile will be by on the weekends to satisfy my sweet tooth! More...

My husband and I are truly thankful for everything GoCakes have done for us for our memorable baby shower. They have went above and beyond to make our special day extra special with too pretty to eat pastries & cake. Stephanie took the time to discuss with us every little details and gave us tons of ideas and recommendations. From my own experience, gorgeous pastries and cakes usually don't taste that great, but GoCake is definitely an exception. Our guests have given us so much compliments on how delicious the cupcakes/macaron/cake are. The creations that come out of this place look way too good to eat. Their attention to detail and creativity is steps above other bakeries. A friend bought some cakes for a birthday and all of them were delicious:- Chocolate cake was smooth and creamy, with just the right amount of cake to cream- Mango egg thing- whatever went into this was magical. It was mango cream/pudding with real mango flavor on the inside and a thin shell of, white chocolate? on the outside. - Coconut pudding encased in a chocolate shell- very cool idea, and not too sweet- spot on coconut water flavors are this thing. Overall, great desserts, mostly because of the real ingredients and wonderful presentation. More...

I always love Go Cakes' gopuffy- I can never decide if I want mines warm or cold but I just love the way the texture changes. Anyways, my friend brought several new small cakes to our dinner gathering and I now have a new favorite- it reminded me of a green dinosaur egg - you have to crack the shell which reminded me of white chocolate and inside had cake and a generous portion of mango. Definitely a great combination and texture! I gobbled it up too quickly to take a pic but go try it! More...

Custom cakes, desserts, drinks, and more! 1. Go Puffy Cakes This is their best seller item and I can see why but Go Puffy Cakes are only available on weekends. The texture is something I never experienced before in a dessert because of the three different layers. The bottom layer is firm and is cheesecake. The middle layer is a creme brulee and the top layer is caramel. All the layers go so well together and is video friendly as the puffy cake is jiggly perfect for videos! 2. Yogurt Cakes "GoYogie" New cakes just launched July 21st!! There are only 10 cakes available each day so it is recommended to order in advance. The cake is a collaboration with Beijing yogurt, my favorite yogurt ever. For me, the cake was light and very delicious with the Beijing yogurt cream. They have three different flavors for now: oreo, corn flakes, and fruit loops. I tried the fruit loops one because the bright colors of fruit loops attracted me the most. But it's up to you to decide! The interior of Go Cakes is decorated very nicely. You can really see the attention to detail as they want to create a special environment to showcase their one of a kind desserts. They also offer macaroons, cupcakes, and cake pops if you're in the mood for other desserts! Also, Go Cakes offers workshop classes for latte art which you can sign up for on their website. I really enjoyed my special moment trying their special desserts and Go Cakes is definitely one of a kind! More...

Yay! Go cakes! Finally I see you! I feel like It's a longest week ever, cause go cakes only opens to public on weekends. They are mainly focusing on custom cakes such as weddings, birthdays or any occasions. But their door is open now. They have the most amazing desserts! 1. Go Puffy cake  I am so surprised that this little cute one could be soooo amazing!! You could either eat it cold or hot, Personally I prefer to warm it up. And put it upside down(Swipe left to see the video I took). It's like a combination of flan or creme brûlée and Japanese fluffy cheesecake, but much more better than both. The wonderful texture, fluffy and silky. OMG! I fell in love with it from my first spoon. Yes, I wish I could eat it every single day!2. Macaroons: I tried 6 flavors, earl grey, matcha, orange passion are my Top 3. All of them are not over sweet, and satisfying my cravings for dessert.3. Cupcakes: I tried the red velvet one, very yummy and the cream on the top was super fresh and light! 4.Cake pops! Super cute and adorable. Even the taste is great! As an Asian, I really don't like something over sweet without anything else. ...............Thanks Ariel X time much! We saw it on Eventbrite, so I and My wife went to their grand opening couple of weeks ago. They were very generous, not only showcasing their pleasing and delightful desserts on the grand opening event, but they had also prepared desserts for over a hundred people on that day. (it was packed!) We live around this area, and I was very surprised to have a cake shop open just around the corner. No matter how good or bad you feel on that day, a beautiful cake and a cup of good coffee can always make you feel better.  We tried a couple of items so far:Honeycomb cake($32)Not real honeycomb, honeycomb is a layer of crunchy caramel they house made that looks like a honeycomb, the cake is two layers of light and airy chiffon cake. It was Amazing! If you ask, they will give you an extra bag of honeycomb to sprinkle on top.Their staff told me they freshly made all of their weekend cakes every morning. They said this cake can feed 6-8 people, but I can eat half of it by myself. MUST TRY! Custom Cookies ($7.5)Not just any kind of custom cookies, we send them a picture of our friend Sue, and they hand made the exact same cartoon cookies for us! Ha!  It was the best party/birthday surprises for her!  Custom Cake($185)I notice some might say their custom cakes is over price, but come on, if you order something custom made, unless you didn't have any specific request. Stephaine really took her time to design every single detail with you, she sent us reference images, sketches and made sure we liked the design before she starts baking. Our cake came out way better than we expected. It was the time she spends with you, all the technique and diligence worth the money.Plus, if you order fondant cakes before, most of them are not even edible, too solid nor too sweet. But go cakes is different than the other fondant cake place, their cakes look good and taste good as well. Go Cakes is a good neighborhood small business I will support for sure. More...

This new dessert place popped up on my Hot and New, and after I saw the beautiful creations of cakes and macarons from their Instagram, I knew I had to stop by and give them a try. They recently had a grand opening and now Go cakes is open to the public on weekends. The owners are super friendly and responsive through their Instagram page. If you want a customized order, they will accommodate and try their best to help you out. Currently they sell macarons, Go puffy cakes, cake pops, and their strawberry short cake and honeycomb chiffon cake (and of course customized cakes). I thought they offered slices of cakes, but as of now, you can only buy whole cakes, which are $32 each. I ended up ordering a Go puffy cake through their Instagram as well as picking up a few macarons while I was in the store. The Go puffy cake ($5.50) is similar to a flan and Asian cheesecake combined into one. Sweet and airy dessert that has the flan texture on top, but a short layer of cake on the bottom. I watched several of their videos on how to get the cake out of the plastic container, and after 3 tries - we finally did it. It's definitely a tasty dessert if you have a sweet tooth. Cuts in smooth and is rich in flavor - this puffy dessert melts in your mouth and, to be honest, made me want to finish the entire thing in one setting. $5.50 is a little pricey, but it was definitely worth the try. Macarons are $2.50 each - there are currently 8 flavors. I was a little sad that they didn't have the classic flavors like salted caramel or strawberry, but I can always find a macaron flavor I want. My friend tried the Earl Grey and a second after taking a bite, said it was the sweetest macaron he'd ever had in his life. I tried the orange passion, party rock, and lemon macarons. Out of those three, I think the lemon was probably the one I enjoyed the most only because I could taste a hint of the lemon. The orange passion and party rock tasted quite similar and were both really sweet. I did enjoy the crumbly texture of the macaron shells that became a soft and chewy bite once I hit the filling. The lemon had a sweet lemon-y flavor, but the filling inside was super light and soft that I just wanted to eat the entire macaron. But I practiced self-control and saved half for my dad who enjoyed it. The interior of the bakery is super cute. Fits in well with the small boutiques that can be found in San Marino. Cute décor against one wall, some bar seating against the window if you want to order a coffee to enjoy, and little cards and items to purchase as part of a gift. It seems like the cakes are a big hit, but since I haven't had a chance to order one yet, I'll probably have to find a reason in the near future to do so - which won't be hard at all. Great new addition to San Marino and hopefully they can expand their menu to sell cupcakes, too! More...
