My friend and I were looking online for a new, different, possibly exciting place from which to order a meal on the hottest day of the year, when we came across Ghost Truck Kitchen online. We couldn't figure out if they delivered to us, so we called. The phone was answered by the most upbeat, friendly voice who proceeded to try and help us and then spoke with us about the menu. We were so pleased at this customer service, we decided to order for pick-up.     When I got there, the voice was matched with a friendly face and warm greeting. I was told that we were given a treat (free if you order pick-up), and we also got to try a new treat. What?! Who does this, nowadays?     Now, the food: Gobbler bowl, Buffalo chicken sandwich, mac 'n' cheese, roasted veggies, baked beans. Everything was fresh-tasting, plentiful, tasty and appetizing. I would go into detail, but I'm so stuffed I can hardly sit up straight. We were both very pleased with our own choices, and partook of each other's frequently. The ONLY criticism I have is about the Mac 'n' cheese, but I cook, and EVERY person that cooks has a problem with everyone else's mac 'n' cheese!     The macaroons are delicately crisp outside and airily soft inside. Ordered off of seamless again and had Garlic wings and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was excellent l. Grilled cheese was very good although a little tough - delivery probably contributed. Wings were excellent! Loving this place. ***Ordered delivery from here on a Thursday night (congratulations to the Toronto Raptors by the way). They deliver well - nice labeling, wetnaps, cutlery, on time and good temperature. Also the portions weren't small - the price was high though but I think the quality is apparent. Ate the following:- Jerk Wings: Fantastic and not friend but super flavorful and tender. Love that they are grilled and awesome and assume they are low carb since they're is no breading. Smokey blue cheese sauce was yum- Brisket Ban Mi - Excellent, flavorful and fresh and delivered well- Garlic Mac and Cheese - Ok. It wasn't very garlicky - to the degree I'm not sure I got the right Mac and cheese. It was tasty but honestly Kraft and Velveeta could compete. I did like the breadcrumbs though. Ghost Truck Kitchen is a yummy addition to downtown Jersey City. I've ordered delivery a few times, and everything I've tried has been mouth-wateringly delicious. Especially the Island and Greek Farro bowls, and the Buffalo Chicken (love that it's grilled!) and Turkey sandwiches. Everything is excellent, really flavorful, and you can taste the difference as the ingredients are all very high quality and fresh. Jerk chicken wings: excellent moisture, perfectly grilled - not much 'jerk' flavor - 9/10 for a wing, 7.5/10 for a jerk wing. Ranch sauce for wings: 7/10 Very fresh flavor, but not intense enough. Also too runny to stick to already moist wings.Smoked brisket banh you: really popping flavors but dry and chewy brisket. 8.5/10For those complaining about price: yes, this shit is hella expensive, but for the quality they're going for, prices are fair. I love GTK! Ordered twice, both times were delish. My husband loves the Carolina pulled pork, so much that he won't venture to try other things on the menu. I love the jerk chicken! Had it with beans and with the Mediterranean salad, delish both ways. There bread with dips are super yummy, I've tried the cranberry and the garlic. Greek farro bowl was so good. All fresh ingredients and seasoned perfectly.  Got a side of the jerk chicken and it was also amazingly tasty, tender and a little spicy but not overly so.  I also appreciate that they package all the food really nicely and use recyclable cardboard! JC lacked a place like this, especially for quick, tasty wings. The very first order I made here was for buffalo wings. They got the hard part right: the wings had the perfect amount of moisture. It's hard to find wings that aren't dry and it was refreshing to finally find succulent wings. They were also perfectly charred but not burnt which added great flavor. Unfortunately, the wings are also very small, overly salty, and too light on the sauce. Again, they did the hard things well so I think they can easily improve from here. More...

Finally a good solid place in JC! Even though it's not a sit down restaurant, their food is straight quality. Their kiosk to order takeout is seamless and their delivery is easy as ordering though door dash. If your looking for a quick snack, I would recommend the bacon dip, garlic dip, and chicken wings. Food is average in flavor. Not sure if they specialize in any particular cuisine. The prices are pretty high for a take out only joint and small portion sizes. We were excited for this concept but the menu isnt as extensive as we hoped it would be. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and the bahn yu brisket sandwich. The flavors are exceptional, particularly on the bahn yu. The bread is incredible, but was one little sliver of brisket on there. $13 per sandwich with no side, cmon, needs a little bit more oomph. A local favorite, and it should be yours too! I have eaten here every weekend since their soft open, some weekends twice! I love, love, love the jerk chicken bowl . Just a hint of heat paired perfectly with coconut rice. The bacon is to die for, thick bacon goodness. The buffalo chicken sandwich is probably my second favorite menu item. The cornbread is great. The only place downtown that has grilled chicken wings! Finally!! I just tried both the naked and jerk wings and, I must say my wife and I loved them both! !! Flavorful, juicy and extremely fresh.
