The shows here are always top notch!!! The layout of the area outside of the theater, however, leaves something to be desired. They have a bar/food service area that is not large enough to accommodate their customers, so they have seating in the constantly crowded lobby. Speaking of which, they have a large video board on the wall, as you enter the lobby. That serves as a magnet drawing people to it and causing them to stand stationary in the entranceway where they impede the progress of the people trying to enter the facility. More...

This is a very nice theatre located in downtown Rochester, inside is pretty small and cozy. The acoustics and sound are pretty good for the size of this place, making the seating appropriate for the theatre size. There is street side parking with a big parking garage next door to the facility. The concessions are very nice with selections from draft beer and wine. The food menu is pretty extensive giving good options to choose from. More...

Great theater at good prices. A lot of history in the building in a beautiful part of the city. Every seat has a great unobstructed view of the stage.

Excellent show! I saw Native Gardens. Nothing like seeing a live play! Actors were excellent and the play was very entertaining. The food they serve at intermission is not very good and overpriced. More...

Geva is an excellent venue to enjoy a performance at. It's easy to get to, easy to park (edit based on Geva feedback :-) thanks to the adjacent parking lot ($5), and very cozy. They also have a bar, well stocked, coffee and tea, and tapas to snack on before the performance. They have great performances at an affordable price, great seats, a great theatre all around! And after the show, there are lots of restaurants nearby to walk or drive to. Definitely one of our favorite places! More...

Talented artists make this venue a must for the theatrically inclined. Great place for some upscale socializing. Everyone has a smile on their face and it's not unusual to see the actors after the show. Never had a bad night at Geva.

We've been season subscribers for 35+ years, and this year is one of the best. We generally hit the GEVA cafe pre-show for soup and a beverage, then do dinner elsewhere afterwards. The cafe food is good quality if on the pricey side. Recent renovations were overdue, and well-done. More...

Geva is among the best Regional Theatres in the country, boasting one of the most prominent Artistic Directors, Mark Cuddy. The choices of plays, artists, and staff are top notch, and the facility is state-of-the-art. I recently attended MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and I must say that I enjoyed it thoroughly. The musicianship and acting talent of the performers was brilliant, as was the talent of the designers of set, sound, lighting and costumes. My night at the Geve Theatre was as enjoyable as any I have ever spent watching musical theatre all around the US. A GEM of a Theatre. More...

Four of us saw an incredibly enjoyable performance yesterday by the "Million Dollar Quartet!" Had front row seats and were thus able to interact somewhat with the performers, especially "Johnny Cash," who was right in front of our part of the stage. Two generations of my family equally enjoyed this performance which was a gift last Christmas from my 39-year-old son, Nick, and his lovely lady, Tricia. They are both huge Cash and Presley fans, and I relived my "growing-up" years with their accurate renditions of songs to which I even remember the lyrics! HIGHLY recommend this performance to anyone who can still catch it while here in Rochester! LOVED all of it! :) More...

GEVA Theater is live theater at its best! We love being season subscribers. Our newest offering is an incredible "In The Heights". For those who sing the praises of Lin Manuel-Miranda's "Hamilton", THIS is where you need to be! It's such an upbeat and happy and energetic (which is an understatement!) show; you laugh and clap when one of the heroes is successful and weep when another experiences heartbreak. You know a show is great when their happiness and sorrow is yours as well! GEVA never fails to bring the best to their stages. We are lucky here in Rochester to have them in our midst. More...

We’re new to the area, this was our first time at Geva. Easy to get to, accessible and a great atmosphere and comfortable.
The stage and technical systems were top notch.
Today we saw the “Agitators” well written, staged, and acted. Broadway caliber!
We look forward to our next show in January.
Thank you.
