These guys were amazing! We hired them for my daughter's bat mitzvah (and actually hired them after seeing them at another bat mitzvah the year before) and they kept the party going the whole time. Their energy is so high and their dancers were so great without being obnoxious. Seriously, the kids were on the dance floor the entire time (I pretty sure most of them didn't even eat!). Peter and Andrew were so great to work with. They listened to exactly what we wanted for our daughter and took care of so many things for us, including the photo booth and implementing the montage. Super nice guys too. The whole process - from initial contact to contract to the event - was beyond easy, which is so appreciated when you're planning a crazy, stressful event like this! Andrew and his crew at Get in the Groove were wonderful. We hired them for my son's recent Bar Mitzvah. I think we all know that a DJ can make or break a party. After doing a lot of research, we hired Get in the Groove and did not regret it for a moment. My son was thrilled with everything and his friends said the party was "lit" and the best party they had ever been to! We got a custom gobo light, which was really cool and went with our theme, and they also did some custom up lights for us. It made the room look awesome. Andrew and his staff recently did my daughter's Bat Mitzvah and I am extremely happy with how the event went. They were so professional and easy to work with.  Andrew, the DJ, and the dancer were amazing.  They had everyone up and dancing throughout the entire party.  The kids were engaged and had a blast dancing and playing the games. We have known DJ PJ for almost 6 years now, and cannot recommend him enough! He was able to entertain both adults and children simultaneously, with lots of fun, dancing, prizes and jumping involved. Andrew from Get in the Groove Entertainment did a fantastic job as DJ of our wedding. He understood my wife's and my music, did a great job reading the crowd, and knew which songs we wanted vs. which we were against at the wedding from the start. We used Get Into The Groove recently for our daughter's bat mitzvah. They were amazing! Andrew is easy to work with and Peter is a genius MC. He was born to entertain. I can't say enough about how well MC David and DJ Peter performed during our wedding. They made the entire night run so seamlessly and I hope they had as much fun as we did. Andrew has employed great emcees and music professionals across the board -- but the bar is set with MC David.We had an exterior set-up that had to move to the inside, with a floor lighting set-up (worth the extra because it makes the dance floor even more inviting). It carried over without a missed step. David had jokes to keep things lively throughout the night and never hit a slow spot. And he worked so well with the other vendors: namely our day-of coordinator, photographer, and the venue reps. All spoke so highly of them after the evening ended. Peter set up the jams and made the blends sound effortless, reading the room to see what moods to set and then amp the energy. Then David slayed with his mic duties and spearheading us at the appropriate times: a smooth segue from the cocktail hour to the first dance to toasts to cutting the cake. I'm not one who dances a lot, but I practically lived on the floor.We were so relieved to hear how much fun our guests had, but the most frequent compliment we heard was the greatness of our host and our music. BOOK THEM NOW!!!!!!!  As the other reviewers have said, there are not enough superlatives to praise Get In The Groove Entertainment.  We had our son's bar mitzvah in Ventura county and it would be safe to say that 90% of the guests had never been to one before and they were all more than pleasantly surprised.  Throughout the night our friends & family continually stopped us to say they couldn't believe how much fun they were having!  And that is all thanks to the amazing team of  David- MC, Peter- DJ, Anthony- Dancer, Lori- Dancer, Lana- Flipbooks, Jan- Flipbooks.  This team was incredible, from the first moment the ballroom was opened to the closing friendship circle the GITGE team kept the energy high and the people on the dance floor.  I admit I was weary about hiring the dancers and I am so glad I did!  Anthony & Lori got the jr. high kids out and dancing, having the best time and it gave the reluctant adult guests permission to shake their booties.  David & Peter were the perfect team, their enthusiasm was infectious, and they kept the kids engaged, laughing & having a ball.  We used the Flipbooks as our favors and they were a huge hit.  Andrew and his people made a custom Flipbook cover that matched our logo, and everybody made multiple books throughout the night.I honestly cannot say enough good things.  I legit had a mom friend say to me, "I wish we could do that every weekend!" There are not enough great things I can say about Andrew and the team at Get in the Groove! Exceptional, easy to work with, and they know how to work the crowd into an amazing fun frenzy that is hip enough for adults and cool enough for the kids.  These are not even descriptive enough to explain how incredible this talented group of individuals are! We have an annual end of year school and community appreciation event to thank our incredible families and community for all they have done for our school. This year we changed the formula from having all bands to having a couple bands and then an epic black light dance party lead by the ever entertaining DJ PJ! From the second he started on stage, DJ PJ (Peter) kept the momentum going! He started HIGH and not once did anyone stop dancing, singing, or having fun! DJ Coop (Anthony) and Beans (Albina) blew everyone away! Their dancing was so energetic and kid appropriate! So many of the kids were trying their best to imitate their moves and they, along with DJ PJ, kept the party roaring for over 2  1/2 hours! It was the most incredible music night we have ever had! I was hesitant to even hire a DJ/MC for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah luncheon?!OMG! I can't say enough great things about And and his team who MC'd and DJ'd my daughter's bat mitzvah. It was an afternoon lunch reception and they did an amazing job making it a party to remember!  All the kids fed off the energy the team led dances and games and kept the whole afternoon organized. We've had Andrew run the party for all three of our children's B'nai Mitzvah parties (2011, 2015,2017) and each party was a huge success, with people on both ends of the age spectrum telling us what a great time they had. Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are inter-generational affairs, and Andrew expertly balances the needs of kids and adults so that everyone has a chance to party and enjoy the night.  He creates a very tailored and thought out party plan, but he's an expert and reading the crowd, and really flexible for maximum fun. Get in The Groove did an amazing job at my daughter's birthday party over the weekend. My daughter turned 9 and we converted our backyard into a kids dance club. It was fantastic! We specifically requested Peter, who not only played the most current and popular tunes, but also coordinated three hours of non-stop party fun. When kids weren't dancing, Peter lead a Limbo contest, etc to get all the kids engaged. Peter had even the shy kids cutting up the dance floor! My daughter made a special request for a smoke machine and special lights. The kids took turns controlling the smoke machine and learning how to mix tracks. I booked this this group because I'd seen them at another wedding and absolutely had to have them at mine. This group knows how to entertain a crowd and get them involved. The price is a little higher because there are two of them either at the mic or teaching new line dances to the crowd as well as a Photobooth operator. The line dances were my favorite part and this group is worth the money. Andrew knows how to read a crowd and decide on the fly appropriate music and when the program needs to be moved along. The crowd especially the kids really responded to Andrew & Brittany and really got into the choreographed dances. I still have guests coming up to me and raving about how much fun they had and some who have said that this was the best wedding reception they'd ever been to. Absolutely the best!  We hired GITG for our son's Bar Mitzvah and it was the perfect choice.  Andrew was super easy to work with- very responsive by phone and email.  Really listened to what we wanted for our party and boy, did he deliver!  He was an awesome MC who totally knew how to work the crowd.  The kids loved it- great games and activities.  Photo booth, video towers, fabulous lighting- what more could we want?!?!  And the adults were still going strong on the dance floor when the venue got ready to close!  Our guests had an amazing evening- everyone commented on the high energy and party atmosphere.  Friends and family will be talking about this event for years to come.  Thank you so much GITG.  And we will be calling in 2021 for the next one!!!! Everyone had such a great time at my son's Bar Mitzvah that I'm already putting Andrew and his crew on hold for the next kid's Bar Mitzvah in 3 years! I met Andrew and his crew at my niece's Bat Mitzvah 4 years ago. He and Peter were able to get everyone out on the dance floor.  I knew he was the right guy for my son's Bar Mitzvah.  My son and his shy friends spent the ENTIRE night on the dance floor.  Giant smiles, lots of laughs and incredibly happy kids.  The adults at the party loved it too!  We had a photo booth and flip books and my friends are still talking about how fun those activities were.Andrew was incredibly easy to work with, handled changes with no problem and made our Bar Mitzvah party a huge success!
