What do you love most about your job?
As the co-owner of the business, I most love working with my team and building them up. I'm a people person and I love being good at what I do, both personally and professionally. I love having a passion for what I do and founded this company based on that passion and the vision I had for how social media would change the face of communications. It's been a rewarding 6 years being in a social media niche. I love learning about new markets and new products. Selling a lifestyle is what we love to do here at Get Community and having great clients is one of our passions. For us, it IS about our relationships with our clients. Personally, I like to be friends with our clients as what we can do together is so much more powerful. At the end of the day, I want to go home satisfied with what I accomplished and spend the rest of the evening taking care of my family.
What inspired you to start your own business?
In a word, Facebook. When I logged onto Facebook, it was like I had tunnel vision. At the time I was the Executive Vice President of an advertising agency and it was my dream to own my own business one day. It's what I always strived for in my career. When Facebook came on the market, I knew that's where I was meant to go. I think social media is the fun part of what we do as marketers. Even when it gets dicey, I love that we are able to communicate with our customers so easily. And, I believe that our clients can learn from what people are saying about them in social media. I like clients who are open to learning more about their customers and what they like and dislike. Owning my own business is basically awesome.
Why should our clients choose you?
Mostly because we are passionate and we have a happy team. We are pleasant to work with, super friendly and we know what we're doing when it comes to social media. We are also willing to try new things, and we aspire to have clients that are willing to do the same. Social media is kind of like kids in a candy store. And what I mean by that is that there is no formula, so we have to try new things to see what works. We like clients who are willing to explore different strategies, and who can trust that we are on their team.
