It took our server 10 minutes to take our drink order, he was to busy playing with the TV’s. Once we placed our drink order and appetizer order, we got those in a reasonable time AFTER he returned to our table a second time because he “forgot” to check my ID for the bar drink I ordered. He did remember our extra sauce with our fried pickles. We placed our dinner order and it came out in a reasonable time as well, however my husband asked for extra shrimp on his grilled shrimp plate, just shrimp! We were charged for two separate meals for only one extra skewer of shrimp. The boil bags had little sauce in them, which was all in the bottom. Half of the shrimp were over cooked and had no seasoning on them. We requested extra whole nine yards sauce when we placed our dinner order, which was not brought. We reminded our server when he delivered our food that we needed extra sauce and that our side of fries were missing. He promptly returned with those, but no sauce. It took us 20 minutes to get our sauce and the additional bar drink I requested when our food was delivered. Our kids were done eating before we ever got our extra sauce to eat our meal with. The waiters excuse? They had to make more. If they had to make more wouldn’t the sauce be hot, or at least warm? You’d think right? It was cold. We promptly asked for our check, our waiters response was “Do you want me to print it now or wait a few?”. Seriously? This makes the 3rd time that we’ve been since the name changed and every time we’ve had a poor experience. It seems like every time we are placed in the back room we get a poor experience. More...

After receiving my oyster dinner, I was asked if everything looked OK? Upon my "no," the waitress said thank you and walked off. Obviously I requested to see the manager and promptly asked for a refund. As long as they're serving diet oysters in small portions, I will not be coming back! More...

Food was ok. Grilled shrimp was tasty. Broccoli was not warm and had no seasoning. Cajun rice was so dry I couldn't eat it. My husband liked his fried chicken. Waitress was great, very attentive. Of course they will throw you in a few potatoes, sausage, and a corn. Drinks were $2.60 for a 16oz., but in thier defense you can get refills. Stopped to see Ga Southern U and really enjoyed our meal. The scallop and shrimp basket was lightly breaded, hot and yummy.

First time here after the name change, we where here on a Wednesday around 1:20 in the afternoon. The place was not very busy and only a few customers. Chris was our waiter, he was very nice and polite. Although he was slow, he would get back to you. I ordered a 16oz Beer that was cold. (If I had know it was $5.00 for it I would have passed.) I ordered Fried Fish and Shrimp with fries Basket $16.00 . The order came out very fast, but I had to send the fish back as they was not completely cooked. The service was awful and the food was less than mediocre. Food was just dropped off and then I never saw server again. Didn’t check in to see if it was ok or if I needed anything else. When I was done she just asked if I was ready for the check, didn’t ask if I wanted dessert or if the food was ok (probably because they already know the answer, it’s not good). Ordered the boiled shrimp medium spicy but there was no spicy flavoring at all. Came with only a side of warm salty liquid that was supposed to resemble melted butter but was fake. The potato, sausage and corn on the cob were barely Luke warm and the corn was over cooked and mushy. The sauce in the bag was so thick with oil and garlic sauce it made a mess trying to scrape that off the shrimp to be able to peel them. I am assuming the boiled shrimp in a bag is their specialty, so if this is their specialty, I can’t imagine how terrible the other food on the menu is! There was no lemon or cocktail sauce and none was offered. Wouldn’t have had a chance to ask for it anyway since the server was never to be seen again until I was done. They were not even busy when I was there. I observed all the wait staff treating the other customers the same way while I was there. They don’t like working there and it shows. I went towards the back to find the restroom and one of the servers told me it’s up front. As I walked away she mumbled to another server that you would think it would be back here because that makes sense, but when do we ever do anything around here that makes sense? I wasn’t supposed to hear that but the place was so empty I could, even though I was at the other end of the room by then! If you want a good place for seafood in Statesboro, GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! Went once never again. Never been to restaurant that serves shrimp that does not pull the vein out Just nasty. The booths are dirty and in disrepair and our feet stuck to the floor. Just gross.

I called and told the receptionist that I wanted a takeout order.  I asked if it was the Boiling Shrimp and I was told yes.  After I got home I noticed another name on the receipt.  Then I opened the dinner container.  I did not receive very many shrimp.  The few shrimp received were covered with fries.  It was like the number of shrimp was trying to be hidden.  I miss the Boiling Shrimp.  This is not the same quality. Just moved to Statesboro from Ohio and we really got our fix for lobster, grilled shrimp, rice, potatoes, corn and hush puppies! Loved everything about our dinner and experience!
