Probably one of the finest eateries in Athens Ga. I have travelled extensively and the food here is some of the best. Service was outstanding and the cleanliness was excellent.

Took my mom and stepdad there. The oysters we had were great. My crab cakes were amazing! my stepdad really enjoyed the shrimp and grits appetizer and my mother loved the seafood jambalaya.

This was a great find in Athens, GA. The food was delicious. We had the fried crawfish appetizer, the shrimp carbonara and my friend had the shrimp enchiladas. This place is incredible.  I would've posted a pic of my delicious scallop polenta entree but I ate it way too fast. Even the house salad was desirable with that yummy garlic ranch dressing. We made a reservation for a Sunday Brunch. Our server, Brandon, went above and beyond to take good care of us. Our group of 7 elected to share several appetizers and desserts with each of us ordering our own entree. Icy cold, briny fresh Apalachacola fat boy select oysters are served with a sinus clearing searing hot horseradish that makes Tabasco curtsy. They sell creole food here. They toss in just enough coonass Cajun flavor to pack the pews in the Parrish on Sunday. Authentic gumbo and etoufee are loaded with Neptune's bounty. Po boys are huge and I'm not sure even Jerry Clower's mouth would go round. Crawfish are good. Shrimp better. Upscale decor is elegant and not overstated. Service is agreeable. The place is spotless clean. They have have nightly and happy hour specials. Well managed and you can tell employees are happy and proud of their food. Fantastic eggplant pirogue (the eggplant is deep fried so what's not to like?). Fried okra with pimento cheese appetizer was delicious. It's in a strip business mall so the outside wasn't what we expected. Once inside, the decor is more upscale than we expected. Cloth tablecloths & napkins and candles. Our waitress brought small water glasses and a full bottle of water - European style - and a basket of small, delicious biscuits. We ordered the pimento cheese and fried okra appetizer. Both were good but the okra was best. The breading was a coarser corn meal than usual which gives a crunchier texture. We ordered cocktails. My drink, the Georgia Mimosa, was delicious and refreshing. One had a beer, one had a Porch Swing, and one had an Old-Fashioned. Both have muddled ingredients and both friends felt their drinks had a mushy bottom. My second drink was a margarita and it was good, too.We visited on a Thursday night and had the Prime Rib special, which comes with mashed potatoes and a veggie side [cauliflower that night]. The food here is decent, not the best but definitely made with quality ingredients. We were surprised and happy to find that Bouillabaisse was offered as a special, as that is one of my favorite dishes and hard to find in Athens. Though I continue to return for convenience, there is something left to be desired in the decor, which comes across as pieced together and not as elegant as it could be. I had lunch here yesterday with a friend after church for Sunday lunch/brunch.  I love the upscale ambience of the the place.  The hosting staff are very welcoming and we were seated immediately.  There are a variety of Southern brunch options including options for appetizers, entrees, and desserts.  I had the Cakes and Eggs.  It was good.  The eggs were poached and served over crab cakes which more crab than cake, which always is a plus.  I added a side of the pimento cheese grits which were wonderful and peaked my interest from the very beginning.  I'm a fan and hope to return and try some of their desserts and other entrees.  Give them a try!  You won't be disappointed! I dined here for the first time last night with a friend/co-worker and ordered the grilled salmon. It was cooked perfectly and the accompanying sauce was amazing! The crispy onions were a treat, as I rarely eat fried foods. The quantity was perfect -- enough to satisfy the craving, but not so much that I felt guilty. My first visit which was on a Sunday during brunch I had the shrimp and grits, oh my how delicious and not to mention the service was excellent didn’t even eat anymore that day because I was satisfied and full, my second visit again on a Sunday I had the best Fried steak and potatoes I ever had with a side of scrambled eggs again full and satisfied. I also preordered a gallon of Gumbo and I must say it was delicious, I had to order more had a little accident called the restaurant and ordered more and was able to pick it up the next Day. Great atmosphere and staff. Food is as good as Harry Bissett’s was in Old Athens. Keep up the great work. Always a treat and can’t beat the pan seared redfish with etouffee. Highly recommend!!!
