Gavin was SUCH a pleasure to work with from the beginning to our wedding day! He is so sweet and so easy to work with and flexible. I was absolutely blown away by how much fun everyone had dancing- people were on the dance floor all night and we got so many compliments about him! We sent him Spotify playlists of music we typically enjoy and he crafted the perfect playlist. I also heard great compliments on our singing guitarist Connor who was booked through Gavin's company. We had one of Gavin's guys DJ our wedding last month at the Riviera Mansion. They took care of sound and music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, and did a superb job! When it came time for the dancing to start, everyone and I mean everyone was on the dance floor shaking it and getting low - including the grandparents! There was not a single dull moment on the dance floor.The music was upbeat and flowed and we loved that our guests were able to request songs in advance. I couldn't believe how many requests we had gotten prior to submitting our final list. Gavin was easy to work with and we can't thank them enough for making our special day so great! Come to find out we needed a PA system at the courthouse last minute and last last minute added a slide show during the reception. And Gavin came thru with everything PERFECTLY. Gavin himself did our wedding and he was amazing! Even down to the fact he looked a bit like Bruno Mars, haha. But really, his online tools were very helpful and he really listened. He got the vibe we were looking for absolutely down. He didn't believe me that we would have a karaoke packed reception, but since that's exactly what happened he rolled with it so well. Gavin is an amazing DJ!! And I'm not just saying this - when was the last wedding you went to when you even realized the music playing during dinner was great? ! We had Gavin at our June wedding and we couldn't be happier. He did a great job introducing the bridal party and speeches, he kept us on schedule, and had a great energy to him. We gave him a completely unfiltered list of song requests from our guests and he managed to please everyone and pick the very best requests mixed in with top hits and songs that kept even my older family members on the dance floor! We didn't stop dancing for one second, and there were never any awkward lulls like at most weddings when a bad song comes on. We used Gavin Roy Presents for our wedding last month and we couldn't have been happier with them!  To us, the most important part of our wedding was the food the music.  We've all been to weddings where the music just flops and the whole night drags on.  We refused to let that happen at our wedding!He set us up with the Aurora string quartet for our ceremony and they did a beautiful job.  We had them do a few classical and then picked modern songs, one of which they learned just for our ceremony!Gavin was our DJ and he is phenomenal!  We were very clear on what type of music we DIDN'T want and he hit the nail right on the head.  He read the crowd perfectly!  Our guests danced the whole time and had a blast.  We also had a percussionist, which added to the upbeat vibe of the night.We also had live hula dancers (private company - Hula Anyone), and other guests who performed.  Gavin made it very easy for them to coordinate their music and timing.I cannot recommend Gavin Roy Presents enough!  Thank you so much for everything! A+ experience working with Gavin for our wedding. Not only did he help put together an awesome mix but he also helped improve the flow of the entire evening as well as the layout of the venue. We hired DJ Pete at Gavin Roy Presets for our wedding in October in Los Alamos and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Pete was so organized and provided all the support we needed to figure out the songs we wanted to play at the reception. He totally understood what we were going for with our singer/songwriter happy hour, some great swooner tunes (Frank Sinatra, etc.) at dinner, and our dance floor was never empty. Could not have asked for a better DJ. Not only was he referred to us by two separate people, but after our intro phone call he completely put us as ease. He was knowledgeable about the flow of the ceremony and reception and knew our venue like the back of his hand (Riviera Mansion). We got married at the SB Polo & Racquet Club on Sat 9/24/16 and hired GavinRoy to do our music.  Throughout the entire process, Carly was extremely communicative and helpful, making sure everything was ready to go in the weeks leading up to the wedding.  Our DJ for the day was Rich, and he was fantastic! We really appreciated the patience, advice and help from Gavin and Carly during the process of choosing the music, the DJ and photo booth. My wife and I had Gavin DJ our wedding on Oct 1st, 2016 at the Riviera Mansion (the University Club) in Santa Barbara, CA. The wedding went from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM, and we made sure to request Gavin himself as the DJ because we had heard he is the best! Our experience confirmed that: Gavin is truly a great DJ, for a very reasonable price. We had numerous guests compliment him throughout the night, saying he was the best wedding DJ they had ever heard. He played all the songs we requested at the right times during the reception, he did the announcements for our entrance and our cake cutting flawlessly, and he did a great job of playing music that was sure to get everybody dancing. He used a great mix of new songs and classic oldies to make sure that both old and young were dancing, and when everyone was on the dance floor, he seemed to have a feel for just what to play next to keep the party going. The wedding required that Gavin provide amplification for an outdoor keyboard during the ceremony, as well as a handheld mic. During the reception, he amplified the grand piano in the living room and provided lighting and sound on the dance floor.Working with Gavin was very easy. His website for song requests was very easy to use and our guests requested a lot of songs through the site. He was also great about talking on the phone with us prior to the event. We even asked him to put a special twist on the anniversary dance during the reception in order to be sensitive to a loved one who had recently lost their partner, and he did an excellent job of adjusting to the request. Hands down the BEST vendor we used. They were very responsive. Loved that they took the time to really understand what we wanted for our wedding. Our goal was a fun dance party and that is exactly what we got. Gavin played everything from oldies to country to rap. Our guests danced the night away. Many have told me how much they loved the music selection and "was the most fun wedding they have ever been to." At multiple points throughout our reception, everyone was on the dance floor including grandparents. They are VERY reasonably priced and even include a photobooth if wanted. From beginning to end, Gavin and his team were a pleasure to work with. The whole experience was top notch. Gavin takes a sincere interest in his clients, which really showed through at our wedding. Communication was extremely professional, as Carly was always responsive and detailed. We had DJ Dillon for our wedding, and he really pulled through on making sure the music fit the crowd and the party was never dull. He has a great skill of reading the crowd, which is something we were originally concerned with with our somewhat quiet family. We also booked a live Spanish guitarist for our cocktail hour, and although we did not personally get to experience the live music, our guests kept telling us how great he was.
