Gathered Oak is an Oakland, CA based online boutique and interior design studio. It was founded by two long time design enthusiasts looking to share their passion. After years of discussing our favorite design elements we are so excited to team up and share those with this community!

We’ve used Gathered Oak for two design projects so far! We just had a beautiful chandelier installed in our great room. It updated the entire room with that one change! We absolutely love it! They also helped us update our master bathroom. They came up with such great ideas and products! We replaced/updated our wall mirrors, lighting, and wall hangings. We also added some vases and other decorative items. They made sure it all worked with our existing tile and countertops. It looks amazing! We are so incredibly happy with it all! We’ll definitely be using Gathered Oak for future projects! We’ve also purchased a few decorative products from their website! Cute stuff! More...

What’s your interior design process?
- Fill out a client questionnaire so we can get a sense of your project and your style, this can also be done over the phone.
- Schedule a discovery call to answer any questions
- Schedule your in home consultation. Following this meeting we will send over a summary of what we discussed along with an estimate of hours needed to complete the project. If you are outside of the greater Bay Area we will ask to either FaceTime us or take a video of the space.
- We send through the letter of agreement, a deposit is paid the project formally begins!
- We re-visit your home to take measurements and photos of each space in the project. We may also bring a builder to review your home as well. If you are outside the Greater Bay area we will ask you to provide this information to us.
This is when we do the majority of the design work, including creating floor plans, sourcing all furniture, finishes, fabrics and fittings. We also collect quotes from any trades involved to cost everything up.
- We then present the entire design to you for approval
- We place orders for all the items approved in the presentation, engage the trades and arrange delivery times.

- If there’s any work happening it begins now. This stage depends on the parameters of your project.
- The furniture arrives and is installed, along with the accessories and styling items
- The Client Reveal! When you are welcomed to your finished space
- We sort out any defects, for example, any small items to be fixed by the trades, or any furniture that wasn’t delivered as ordered
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We pride ourselves in the ability to seamlessly blend styles. We tend to lean towards contemporary and Scandinavian with touches antique. and bohemian accents.
What do you love most about your job?
Coming up with creative solutions to help people love their home no matter what their budget is.
What inspired you to start your own business?
We were inspired to start this business to meet and collaborate with amazing client and to create everyday!

We have a strict on-site mask mandate for anyone entering your home. We are also fully vaccinated!
