Although I wasn't able to go through this service, I can say they were able to quote me over the phone and the quote was beyond reasonable. The cable came unspooled from the drum on 1 side of my door. When I looked, the rod holding the drum & bearing in the bracket had come out of the bracket. When I called to make the appointment the folks at JMK said it could be a few possibilities just based on my description. They quoted me price ranges for each possibility. Chris from JMK called when he was on the way to our appointment, which I appreciated. When he arrived I gave him a brief explanation & showed him the door & he immediately knew what had happened. He fixed the door, tightened the springs & brackets, adjusted the opener, & lubricated all springs & hinges. The cost to fix it was exactly what had been quoted over the phone & also by Chris. We had a new garage door & opener installed by JMK about a month ago & we're extremely happy with the product & with the service provided by JMK. We called them back for a few minor things that we hadn't noticed during the install: A little chipping of paint on one of the panels that occurred during shipping, and a small gap in the seal on either end of the door due to the unevenness of our concrete floor. I've had some bad experiences w/ garage repair companies in this area. But I came across JMK on Yelp and gave them a call today, David & Chris came right out and were able to repair a broken carriage piece that had lost its grip. These guys are professional and know their stuff, and didn't try to upsell me anything. Whole thing done in less than 20 minutes. I went out to get in my car to go to work this morning and the garage door would not open. Womp womp. I started by calling Superior Doors in Covina, but they were not available -- no shade to them! They're great, they just couldn't come today -- and they recommended JMK. JMK answered the phone promptly and kindly, was able to fit me in today, asked a couple of questions and then gave me a price which I thought was fine. They gave me a 2-hour window. The workers called me well within the 2-hour window and gave me an update of their arrival time. They arrived within 5 minutes of when they said, in a beautiful shiny clean truck. They were extremely nice and polite, they fixed the door in about 30 minutes and were on their way. I especially appreciated their demeanor and the way they treated me nicely because it was hot as the dickens and I'm sure the garage was horribly uncomfortable to work in.I agree with all the other 5-star reviews here! So the power goes out in our neighborhood and it hits a large area around us as well. Despite this, both Luis and Dave came out quickly to help us and got our garage up and running again within less than a couple hours from when we called. They were very friendly and explained just what they did and didn't try to upsell me on anything.This should definitley, 100% be the only garage door company you need to call. After I called to the store in late morning today, the technician Chris came to fix the broken spring at 1:15 PM as they promised to be in between 1-3PM. With his 35 years of professional career in garage door, he finished the whole work in 30 min. He worked extra more for minor issues, tighting all bots and nuts, greasing all unit connections, testing here and there, and fixed as much as he can. What a great man and workmanship! My wife and I are quite picky in choosing any home service company, but JMK gave us much better service than we expexted. The receptionist lady was also very kind and John another receptionist, too. Used JMK to get a new garage door opener installed.Called for an appointment, they were able to do it in the same day. Communication was easy and person I talked to was very nice and helpful. She explained all of the options they were able to offer me, no hard selling, she just provided me the facts and pricing. When I made my choice, she gave me a time frame to expect the installer. Installer arrived on time and did the work in a clean manner and was done in about an hour. He gave us a good debrief on what he did, and also some quick instructions on the how to operate the garage door opener and phone app. Overall great experience..!! Pricing was fair..!! I just had my new garage door installed by JMK and it was well worth the wait. I ordered my new door in February and it was installed this morning by Luis & David. The front office told me to expect them between 830 and 930. They arrived at 8:15. JMK installed the door 30 years ago. A cable slipped and my spouse called another company who did literally nothing but charged her for an inspection. Two days later the heavy metal sectional steel door gave way and locked down tight.JMK (Chris and David) were on the job quickly. They diagnosed the exact trouble. Great service!!  I had dreaded dealing with my broken garage door.  I thought it was going to be time consuming and expensive to fix.  A couple of friends recommended JMK so I gave them a call.  The very nice gentleman who answered the phone asked me to send him some pictures of the broken door.  I sent him the pictures and he immediately gave me a quote to fix it.  I thought the price was fair so I asked him how soon he could come out.  He came out that very afternoon!  He was prompt in arriving and went right to work.  He fixed my door in no time.  He even serviced it at no extra charge to make sure it continued to work well.  Excellent customer service, efficient and reasonable prices.  I would highly recommend! We were referred by neighbors on the nextdoor app. Out of 15 or so replies for suggestions, JMK was recommended by most people. When I called the customer service experience was nice and professional. Needless to say, we had an awesome experience with JMK. They had a technician out within 40 minutes. His truck was clean and well maintained. He was extremely professional and polite. We had concerns which he addressed prior to work beginning. We felt comfortable with his explanation and knowledge. An hour later or less later, we had our 3rd car garage motor installed and it is working beautifully! Luis from JMK garage doors arrived at 11:50 am today Dec 5th 2017..and was amazed and happy he was early for a 12pm to 2pm window appt. Luis was very polite organized and attention to detail.
