My wife and I were a little hungry after a visit to Niagara Falls. We split an order of the Calabrian chili wings, bruschetta, and an arugula salad. This place was such a nice surprise in Lewiston. I had to run out there for a gift and found reviews of Gallo on Yelp, which looked amazing. Well, the real place does not disappoint. Honestly, it was some of the best coal-fired pizza I ever had. We ordered a traditional cheese pizza and then a traditional cheese and pepperoni pizza with hot banana peppers, in addition to the hot pepper appetizer, spicy BBQ wings, and a small Caesar salad. Everything was delicious! Â The wine by the glass selection is great, too! Â They definitely could use more space and tables, but I understand there are plans to move to a bigger space down the street eventually. They have quite a few unique appetizers and, of course, pizza!! The carbonara pizza was to die for! We've tried 3 or 4 different appetizers and a few of the pizzas and all were fantastic! Great place!!! The pizza was sooo good, the drinks were sooo good and the service was great! They have a great menu, and you can pretty much put anything on any pizza you want! The prices are also good! My fiancé is a tough critic on pizza and he said "we will be back here very soon" so this place is a winner. The restaurant decor is so cute, and very clean! My son and I decided to give this place a try for the first time.....First impressions. Â When you walk thru the door the Restaurant is stunning. Â With a clean modern look the decor makes it really feel welcoming. Â The Coal Fire oven burning in Plainview from anywhere on the dinning floor makes it really sell that your going to get a fantastic pizza. Â The server was friendly and attentive, seeing to our needs. Â We ordered the Bavarian Pretzel with a Beer Cheese sauce for an Appetizer..... The Pretzels were warm, Chewy and delicious with the taste that only comes from fresh out of the oven. Â For our Entree we had the Maragrita Pizza the sauce was good with fresh mozzarella . Â Also not for sure but I think a Maragarita Pizza is suppose to have full Basil leaves on it and I think It was topped with either Cilantro or coriander. I have been to Gallo a few times now. I decided to write this review because I have not been disappointed! My coworker and I shared a bottle of the house wine. It's on tap and it's $18 a bottle. I loved the house Cabernet. There was a group of 4 of us so we decided to share a bunch of appetizers. I would recommend the tapenade if you love olives. It is topped with a pesto sauce that gives it garlic flavor I love. We also ordered a cheese banana pepper dip. That came out hot and it was a table favorite. One of my friends is vegetarian so she order something different. She ordered Gnocci but instead of the bolognese she asked for mushroom Marsala sauce. That was AMAZING! And they were very accommodating! I would definitely come back and try different things on the menu because it won't disappoint More...

LOVE eating at Gallo. I have been here several time, and every time, it's fantastic. In my opinion, they have the best penne vodka in the area. Tonight, we started with the arugula salad for the table. It's made with arugula, pine nuts, Parmesan and balsamic vinaigrette. We love this salad! The family size is more than enough for a table of four.For dinner, I had the penne vodka (always!) with a chicken cutlet. The sauce is so creamy and full of flavor, and he cutlet was perfectly crisp!For dessert, we shared the brownie with vanilla ice cream. I was in town visiting family, and my brother suggested Gallo Coal Fired Kitchen .  It was outstanding -- the food was delicious, the service attentive and friendly and the ambiance (a converted former gas station) was terrific.  We shared the arugula salad -- which everyone loved -- and I tried the calamari which was light and delicious.  A couple of us got pizza, my husband had the sausage and pepper sandwich and I tried the  sausage and broccoli rabe pasta ( which our helpful server recommended).  This was a great choice for a night out -- I look forward to my next visit!
