The atmosphere is unique and cool. They staff are fantastic - from the hostess to the waitress. Our waitress checked on us throughout the evening and always made sure we were good to go (I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out). The food was delicious. I ordered filet mignon and my husband got the pork chops, which both were delicious. It is a bit pricey - for 4 drinks, and appetizer, and 2 entrees it was over $100 but totally worth it. We come to the Galley every year for a great dinner before the Famous Marietta Fireworks. This year your whole staff was on fire. We sat for drinks waiting for a table. I asked for a recommendation on a red blend. The waitress was very knowledgeable and knew of one immediately. It tasted fantastic. Once seated we order appetizers. Great find for a salad. Black mission figs with burrata. We can certainly make it at home.  There's arugula so peppery. Green home crisp apples for some tartness and sweetness. Almonds for a different crunch. Reduced balsamic and the burrata which made the salad decadent.  You can add a protein but to me it is good in itself. I wish there's a smaller version so I can have something else. I had it 2 days in a rowKettle chips were great. Not saltyI gave them a 4 stars because the server is not quite familiar with their beers. I had Cool Beans beer. The server could've mentioned that it is coffee flavor or infused.  Hated it. My husband and I decided to stop in this evening, being our first time there. Our entire experience was great. The service was incredible and I don’t think I could have complimented our server, Tyson, enough. The food was amazing and we didn’t have a single complaint. Also, props to you on the smart marketing when it comes to dessert. When they’re all brought out on a platter and put in front of your face, it’s real hard to say no, even if it’s to go! Our server, Alexa (it's what's on the receipt so i hope thats right because i honestly couldn't hear when she said her name), was amazing! She was great at her job, personable, kind, fun, answered all our questions and gave good recommendations and took my mushroom allergy seriously. It was a busy Friday night, several big parties, but our food came out in a timely manner. Kudos to the kitchen staff on keeping up. Food was excellent! Hubs had salmon which he said was cooked perfectly! I had the pasta special which was delicious! The house made triple chocolate cake and the Reese's cake were both superb! The hostesses were very pleasant. Manager delivered our food and took our salad plates away. Always a good thing when a manager is willing to help their wait staff! We did have a reservation but it isn't a necessity. I can't say it's inexpensive but it was a a date night so we splurged. This is a hidden gem, wouldn't expect anything like this in a town like this. ( I assumed Applebee's would be the best they have to offer) went in for lunch and got a wrap. came here the other night for dinner and was so pleasently surprised by this place. may just be our new favorite place to eat in marietta. got a burger which was cooked perfectly my wife got the salmon burger and she said hers was amazing. i got a purple haze beer which was super good. we will definitely be coming back the staff was super friendly and our kiddo got free ice cream w her food. can't beat that!! We have always enjoyed the food and service at The Galley.  We recently asked them to cater an event for us.  Every single person who attended commented on the food.  I cannot day enough about the food. We had a nice night at the Galley though I had to search for the name and probably won't remember it to tell friends. The hotel/restaurant/theater seem like a cool concept in a beautiful old building but may need to think through name to improve Word of Mouth advertising. I had the Diablo burger as the place had a tavern/gastric pub feel and the burger was spot on. My wife enjoyed the fish and chips which she covered in vinegar. The staff was friendly if a little confused. The outdoor seating was pleasant but not terribly comfortable or well positioned for the space. My husband and I travel to Marietta at least 3 times a year, and appreciate all of the local restaurants, but I have to say that the best food and service that we've had in the 25 years we've been coming down there is at the Galley Restaurant. ...and you want to go where everyone knows your name... For some reason, this place reminds me of Cheers. Maybe it's the classy bar and the wood. There is a lot of wood in this place. In 10 years, I have only made it a point to dine in the Galley maybe twice. And in writing this, I realize that I want to go back. It's a great place! The interior is elegant and spacious, and they offer outdoor dining during the warmer months. I can't believe that I haven't went more often. But I guess that we get busy and lose track of time, and take for granted that some of the greats will always be around. With that being said, I hope that the Galley continues to serve the mid Ohio Valley as they have for years. I have only always ordered the steak, but it has always been made to order. I’ve lived in the mid-Ohio valley most all my life and I have never been to this restaurant. So, we thought we would adventure in for our first visit. It was pleasant. This setting is very unique and had a beautiful history article printed on the back of the menu. Our waitress was absolutely fabulous. Except she allowed the kitchen to serve as burnt french fries. Considering this was going to be my main course, I was very disappointed. Everything is upscale in comparison to the Lafayette and the Blennerhasset. But as far as eating at this establishment I wasn’t impressed. When I mentioned to the server that my fries were burnt she responded that she knew they were and had told the chef they were gross. The Galley is a neat place to grab a bite to eat and they are also dog friendly! I was able to sit on the patio with my dog and enjoy the beautiful weather. All of the servers were incredibly friendly as well!I had the pimento cheese burger with bacon and it was delicious! I feel like this placed has really revamped itself this year. We never really came here because the employees were rude and always seemed to be "bothered", but everyone is always so kind now. Today I took my mom out for her birthday here and our waitress Alexis was phenomenal. And helped us pick our meals. The bartenders on the Adelphia side last weekend were so nice as well. I love having this space for food and bands so I'm really happy to se their employees seem to so much nicer now. More...
